I love making crafts. I actually cannot wait until Martha gets older so we can do crafts together. With Matthew, we are limited to doing non-girly stuff or else he or the Dad will protest I like to try out knitting, hybrid projects and even doing handcrafted jewelry. One of my nieces are actually addicted to bling! These are tiny, shiny crystals that can be arranged into patterns ready to peel off and stick on anywhere. The bling pattern kits are selling like hotcakes everywhere. It seems to be the trend these days among teens. They but pattern kits which contain over 500 crystals per kit, then they stick it up on their things – belts, cell phones, ipods, mirrors, pda’s and laptops, everything they have! I think the reason kids love them is because it allows them to glam up their things for a fraction of a cost and let them stand out. If I am a parent, I would even encourage them to have it instead of them trying to get the real deal!! They are like jewel sets without the moolah!! I think I need to get some sets for my nieces – they are totalling more than ten already! And I might get lucky – every 100th purchase will receive 1 Hannah Montana concert ticket! And they are crazy about her as well!
