Lessons From My Father

We should all be grateful that we have a day in a year to pay tribute to our fathers, although we should always remember them every moment of our lives. But we are thankful that there is a day set to honor them for what they are, who they are, and what they have done in our lives. Looking back, we have to admit, that one way or another, much of what we are today has been influenced by many lessons in life that we have learned from our parents, especially from our fathers. What is sad is that, most of the time, we do not learn from them until they are gone. But as a father, I know that it gives me pleasure to see my children learn life’s lessons while I am still alive and can see it with my eyes. It is a father’s pride and joy to see for himself that his children have grown up to be the children he always wanted them to be and God wanted them to be.
