Wagyu?
There’s a feature today in the Philippine Daily Inquirer about Wagyu beef.
Apparently its special vareity of beef from an exemplary cattle breed in Japan. It supposedly healthier than any form of beef as it was characterized as being not only lower in cholesterol but according to the article, “intense flavor and dense marbling, which results in a higher ratio of monounsaturated fats to saturated fats.” Now talk about being the finest!
Diamond Hotel is featuring a Wagyu Dinner Package for a whopping price of (gulp!) P120,000. For that price, you and your mate can have a dinner paired with a bottle of Chateau Margaux and an overnight stay in the Presidential Suite with breakfast in bed the following morning. Or P90,000 if minus the not-too-shabby sleeping quarters.
I don’t know if P90K is even worth paying the price for a dinner. Or even the difference of P30K should equate to a night at the Presidential Suite and breakfast.
Call me cheap but my little family, especially the kids, can get more proper nourishment for that kind amount of price.
Maybe someday, when I strike it rich!
