Everybody is into Nursing.
Nursing schools are sprouting like mushrooms these days. I see ladies and gents, young and the not so young, donning nursing uniforms at the malls, LRT stations, everywhere! I know being a nurse will rake in big bucks for some, especially when you get to migrate overseas, but, please, let us all be guided why we took up nursing in the first place. Nursing is more about love and care, more compassion than anything else. We are the frontliners in giving care to patients in the the healthcare arena. We roll out the instructions given by doctors. We interact with patients everyday. Nursing maybe all about the greens for some. True, anybody can study nursing but not anyone can really be called a nurse.
I admit. I am a nurse who is second degree earner as well. I admit, I never really saw myself as a nurse. I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to be god. But, after immersing myself into nursing school, I found my true calling. I love being a nurse. There is no greater feeling than being able to help patients heal, or just be a reassuring and calming presence to a patient and his family.
