Charity Credit Cards.

Have you ever tried using charity credit cards? These are cards you apply to which when you get approved, every time you spend using your card, a small portion of it goes to their chosen organization or cause.

Charity credit cards work in exactly the same way as any other credit card, with all of the same features and benefits. And of course the most important point is that you donate to your favourite charity every time you use it—around 0.25% of the value of every purchase is donated by the bank in your name. Some banks also donate the first time you use the card, and for every year that you continue to use it. Note that while you donate to charity each time you make a purchase, no donation is made for “cash transactions” such as withdrawing cash from an ATM or buying foreign currencies. It’s a good idea to avoid withdrawing cash for another reason—these cash transactions typically incur an extra fee over and above the interest you pay on your outstanding monthly balance.

Honestly, I would rather donate directly than use my card, let it earn interest (because I know myself – I wont be able to settle the exact amount on the due date – Im really a spender), and then not help MYSELF in the process. But if you are a credit card user, go for it. Support those who help!
