Mark of Motherhood
I have enough stretch marks on my body to pride myself that I’m already a mother. The first it appeared I was so depressed. They were red and dark and showed no signs of disappearing. I’ve read book after book and surfed site after site, listened to recommendations on what to apply and what to do to lighten it up a bit, and though I’ve tried about two of the hundred suggestions they told me, none of them actually was 100% effective to have the stretchmarks gone. It did, lighten over time though. I didnt have stretch marks on my second pregnancy, fortunately, as I’ve read it is better to prevent stretch marks from happening than to do something about it when it appears.
Since I also have sensitive skin, all topical products wreaked havoc on my skin. It seems that I was made to find Tummy hunny, which is all natural, hypoallergenic and contains no artificial preservatives or petrolatum. I stumbled upon this on the web as they won the iParenting Media Award for Excellence. It is generally recommended to use before and during any weight-building exercise one is planning or when pregnant. What is great is that is also has anti-itch properties (super great for pregnant Moms!!). It includes cocoa butter, shea butter, vitamins D and E, olive oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and many other emollients. These products DO NOT contain petrolatum, lanolin (i.e. wool grease), water or artificial preservatives.
