I’ve been thinking about the direction my career has been taking lately. I recently got promoted, and though I love the chance of going up the corporate ladder, it also reminds me Im one more step away from the career I want. Sometimes, I think Im just stuck with the notion that Im supposed to be a nurse and I want to practice. Im scared I will be stuck forever in a job I only work for just because of the money. I never thought Id be working for money. I always wanted, decided and persevered to work because I was passionate about it. And look where it got me.
Well, times are changing and I can feel I will be given a chance to turn around things soon. I was browsing and doing research of the latest medical careers I can get into and I was drawn to this: air evac. Air ambulance service specializes in medivac and air evac medical flights both nationally and internationally. Aerocare provides professional medical care staffing for all of its air ambulance flights. Wouldnt that be awesome? One would need to be a very specialized and highly trained ER nurse for this, I presume with trainings on other areas since you will be literally be caring for a patient on air. The doctors will rely on you to assist them and be alert and be able to predict what would be needed.
That would be such a physically exhausting, mentally stimulating job.
My kind of job.
*sigh*
