I was browsing thru the gorgeous a=stars that graced the runway at the Golden Globe Awards and was quite surprised that there are ladies/actresses who look “done” and “fresh”- I bet they got botox on their laugh lines. I always read HollywoodRag.com so I know their real faces. The price you have to pay being a celebrity. It gets natural in time, they say. But having botox before the awards night is so uncool. Your face looks sooo fake.

I was browsing thru this thread about the recent awards and can I just quote one lady who wrote this?

poor nicole. tears trickling at the oscars, but unable to express a bit of emotion with that flawless forehead.

lame.

how can actresses expect to stay employed if they zap the ability to show expression with certain parts of their (previously wrinkled) faces? i vote for growing old gracefully, instead of fighting it with “new & improved” technology every step of the way.

We are talking Nicole Kidman here, guys.

I was amazed I was able to capture Martha face in that bigger photo, she always always does that when you take away something she is chewing on, with matching scream and clenched fists, LOL I just love Amy Wolff’s papers here. And I just knew it was perfect for Martha’s blue dress.

The brat has been learning how to clap and dance with swaying the body and bobbing the head lately. It is sooo cute.

Im actually scouring the net for cheap Leap Frog items, Im going to buy her books!

I have a confession. I am a real surf nut. I surf the net everyday randomly and use the Stumple Upon plugin of Firefox a lot. The other day, we were watching America’s Funniest Videos and I just searched the web for funny videos. Lo and behold, I got about a thousand searches, but this site really stood out - simply because it really made me laugh out loud!

What I liked about the web site is they have RSS feeds! Since I love the site’s videos, keeping track when they do updates are a great plus for me. They also have categorized the types of funny videos they have - from the extreme, sports, prank calls, and cartoons or animated flash. Im not a fan of the prank calls but I love funny pictures and celebrity photos, gossip lover that I am! And if you love sending a laugh, they offer sending cards as well! I peeked at their messageboards and they have the same categories for the videos and then some. They even have referral funny links called crazy links, I love the organization, navigation but most of all the content!

I just got to the new site of BPS and now I see a list of their upcoming classes! Yippee! I am planning to enroll in a March class, once I get the money, since I have a free $5.00 off towards a new class valid until Feb 28. I might want to enroll in Amy Sorenson’s Journalling Class though. Ooohhh! I love being a student!

I have been thinking of doing or getting into hybrid scrapbooking, more into altered crafts actually. And with the Pinay Digiscrapping Forum, there are a bunch of traditional/paper scrapbookers. I was thinking if our membership grows, we can set up video tutorials about doing altered items. Free Podcast Hosting is available on the web and we can easily set up that one.

Oh, such great plans :)

It is now WINTER CHA at Anaheim, CA and two of my most favorite digital designers have new paper product lines out! I got this newsletter from Scrapbook.com and I fell in love with the new Fancy Pants’ line, made by, of course, Michelle Coleman and Nancie Rowie Janitz.

If only I can afford to buy them!!!! In time, I will. In time :) For now, Ill just get my high buying their awesome digi-stuff at around 6-8USD a kit :D And I can have a mini album from them after ;). My wishlist at ScrapArtist is growing by the minute. I need to prepare for the upcoming Muse newsletter so I can get the coupon :). I’ve been very very good with digi-purchases lately, Im so proud of myself! I just need to print at least 15 layouts at the photo lab and I’m done with my scrapping goals this January!

I’ve been thinking about the direction my career has been taking lately. I recently got promoted, and though I love the chance of going up the corporate ladder, it also reminds me Im one more step away from the career I want. Sometimes, I think Im just stuck with the notion that Im supposed to be a nurse and I want to practice. Im scared I will be stuck forever in a job I only work for just because of the money. I never thought Id be working for money. I always wanted, decided and persevered to work because I was passionate about it. And look where it got me.

Well, times are changing and I can feel I will be given a chance to turn around things soon. I was browsing and doing research of the latest medical careers I can get into and I was drawn to this: air evac. Air ambulance service specializes in medivac and air evac medical flights both nationally and internationally. Aerocare provides professional medical care staffing for all of its air ambulance flights. Wouldnt that be awesome? One would need to be a very specialized and highly trained ER nurse for this, I presume with trainings on other areas since you will be literally be caring for a patient on air. The doctors will rely on you to assist them and be alert and be able to predict what would be needed.

That would be such a physically exhausting, mentally stimulating job.
My kind of job.

*sigh*

I have been approached by a newly formed outsourcing company for a job opportunity. It seems they are now going to be outsourcing for a British company based in the US. Since there will be a significant change of diction, intonation and pacing of the English language, the company deemed it best to invest in a London English Course. They are looking for a London English School that can offer part time courses online, since it would be such a huge investment to take all English trainers to English School London.

Even if I do not have any specific degree in Languages or Education, I was flattered for them to even consider me. I know their start up company is risky, compared to the stable company Im working for now. The lure of the possibility in going to London is tempting, but the promotion I just got and the benefits and tenure I already have won me over.

Besides, I dont intend to last another year in this career. I want to practice nursing already.

We have to get our fashion cues somewhere right? Well, it might as well be from fashion designer, Palm Beach style extrodinare Peter Belisi. His new blog, Being Belisi, gives all you busy women on-the-go and jet-setting guys a cheat sheet to all that is hip and high-end. Being Belisi is designed for people like you who want to keep your finger on the pulse of Hollywood happenings and runway rundowns without having to do the dialing. Check in for quick tips and commentary on who’s wearing what and how you can put together your own polished look.

Belisi Fashions is founded by Peter Belisi who is a luxury designer of high-end silk ties, scarves and women’s handbags. The Belisi brand unites the luxury and prestige of Palm Beach with Italian beauty and sophistication. Each dramatic detail represents Belisi’s unwavering quest to offer fashion accessories of truly enduring value. What sets the Belisi brand apart is its commitment to people. In line with its mission to create “luxury with meaning”, a portion of the proceeds are donated to a local charity. Put simply, Belisi stands for beauty: great style, quality accessories and giving back to the community.

Now that is inspirational. I have been reading stories about him all over the web and I am impressed on what he is doing with the fashion industry and the trend he is starting.
