on a Wednesday! Better late than never
We went to Matthew’s school to get his report card and since he was an achiever we went to Teriyaki Boy (his choice) to treat him out.
Martha and Matthew wanted to eat using chopsticks:
And Martha was seriously PMS-ing, she didnt want to be cuddled by anyone including her Dad. Topak. LOL

Literally.
What a way to start the week. Let us just say certain people have broken my heart and disappointed me a lot today. However, it is Monday. And Monday means a new week, a new start and heck, it’s November!! One more month and my favorite time of the year is coming again – Christmas
So the only thing that can help me survive the week is thinking happy thoughts. And happy thoughts on my head usually are just these: good food, me time and my kids.
And my kids made me very happy last Saturday. See, madali naman ako paligayahin eh, bigyan mo lang ako ng magandang pictures
Halloween story and the reason behind Matthew’s ordinary costume coming up later.
I need to prepare Matthew for school.

It was the first time ever since we moved here that Edil wasn’t home in a weekend. We were supposed to go to Manila but plan didn’t fall through so we decided to just stay home and Edil will try to make an extended leave for next weekend.
I was so lost, I am used to being busy during weekends but last weekend I didn’t know what to do with the kids. We don’t have money and there is no one to drive us to the mall so that is no option.
It was a good thing my parents are nearby. We are having a little pageant for our organization involving kids ages 7-10 years old and they had their pictorials, outing and practices last weekend. Mom told me to take pictures (we get to eat for free too) and the kids had a great time. Martha fit in and Matthew was a hit with the girls.
Saturday
The kids went swimming. Click on the picture below for a more detailed story of what happened that day:
Sunday:
It was practice day for the kids. Matthew was such a hit with the ladies! So I got to babysit them (there were 8 of them), and one of them asked, “Ilan no po anak nyo? Sino po ung lalaki? What is his name? How old is he?” When I answered her questions, the ladies start giggling. Matthew being a nerd that he is, was so masungit and wasnt even game in smiling back at them. He told me, “Ayoko ng ganun Mommy.” He will be escorting them come pageant night.
Syempre, gwapo anak ko eh.
Martha was a trying hard lady. She was with the ladies all afternoon, even dancing with them. The choreographer even noticed she can follow instructions already. She was so behaved! I think Martha will be ready for school next year!
What’s up with me?
I was so bored. Not even the net can entertain me. I plan to unearth my VCDs from my box and watch movies again. And read books.
I caught up with GY on the soompi forums though
He is now an entertainment soldier so fans can see him. He had an autograph signing and even hosted a show. He is more tanned now but still hot. He looked good in a suit too.
Gosh, I talked about GY when I talked about me. Hahaha, pathetic. Bored talaga ako.
You can view more pictures, as always at my Flickr.
I’m off the computer for the rest of the day. Have a nice week!

I woke up at around 9AM to start preparing. Fortunately, neither the little man nor the Big Daddy was hard to wake up. We were on the road by 11AM and we ordered drive-thru food at McDonald’s because we were so hungry (Matthew ate two cheeseburgers). Thankfully there was no traffic so we were in Manila around 1PM. We stopped by Mall of Asia because I still haven’t bought gifts for the kids’’ babies and mine as well. We went to Toy Kingdom and Matthew started pointing again, I had to to tell him to wait because he will get new books at the party (Good thing I was right). Gosh, it was so stressful to shop under time pressure. Hahaha. I hope the kids liked the gifts. Stopped over Powerbooks to get Joy’s gift then had it wrapped and then we were on the way to Citadell In.
Martha was sleeping when we arrived but woke up immediately so she was not her usual self. Estong and Olin immediately went to play with her puppy that she was screaming and genuinely frightened “doggie” will die – which eventually came true.
They threw the doggie in the air until it ran out of air. It served its purpose in entertaining the kids so may he rest in peace.
Martha tried reviving him to no avail.
She forgot it as soon as there was a pool of balls to play in and one rocking horse.

I would need two entries for this activity-filled weekend. So much activity that I honestly am still so tired and believe or not I would love to sleep all night if I can. But like I said, it’s back to work so I might need to sacrifice and be a zombie for the next 48 hours.
October 18 – Saturday – Twitter Mommies’ EB Party
I will reserve stories and little anecdotes on this as soon as I can get more pictures from those who took shots that day. I didn’t bother even taking pictures as everyone had an SLR and there were much better photographers like me (like Abie’s husband Howell and Alpha).
To make it short though: We were on the road by 11AM and got home by 12MN. We spent around 7 hours driving to and fro. Totally worth it though. I’m thankful the husband didn’t complain (I took catnaps in the car).
October 19 – Sunday – BNP Feast Day
I missed the MBAP Party because we had a feast day yesterday. To make it simple: Christmas starts at October for us. We officially start the holiday season on October 23rd. Since it’s a weekday they decided to celebrate on the Sunday before the 23rd.
It was so H.O.T. But it was nice because I got to see my brother and sister again. And we even got treated to Starbucks.
Some pictures at Starbucks Tagaytay:

The last family picture we had was in June pa. And well, I strongly urge you to take pictures of you and your family together as much as you can. Your kids can actually thank you for it. I don’t even have pictures of me with my Mom or Dad when I was a kid. I know we had some, but my Mom wasnt able to really keep all the pictures we have as we moved a lot.
I am so thankful I got involved into scrapbooking. And so much more lucky I get to discover the joys of going digital too. My kids have tons of photos they can look back to.
When was YOUR last family picture?

Since I am too lazy and disoriented to blog AND work, Ill do it with pictures. Im finally getting the urge to purge our house again so our house is a sight of piles. I pile things together (a habit I got from my Mom) but I tend to just move the mess around, hehehe.
We had a great birthday gathering for my Dad. As usual I stuffed myself full (there were so many gift baskets!). And of course, Im happy we get to have a complete family picture, even if the lighting and positioning is all wrong. You already know I live for pictures dont you?

Edil got lazy to report for work yesterday so it was still the weekend for us yesterday
Felt good – we didn’t go out of the house Sunday and Monday. Just bummed around the house, lots of movies, computer time and food. The kids were so behaved. I was not at all stressed – didnt even shout, truth be told. Well, it was Edil who did all the parenting about discipline. I just cooked, washed dishes, cleaned. A total break from my screaming temperamental side. (Stress reliever talaga).
My insomnia was also cured during the weekend. We slept until 9 or 10AM and yesterday after Matthew left for school, I crawled back under our covers.
But life goes back to normal today when Edil leaves. We will be going to our parents’ place to sleep over (We do this every Tuesdays). It always rains during the afternoons here. It makes me lonely.
Aside from the pictures from the previous post (which were taken at Matthew’s school), here are some more:

- We went to Matthew’s school for the parents’ basketball tournament in time for their Foundation Day.
- Martha was cheering her Daddy all the time, even if he was not playing yet.
- Matthew’s school is a close knit one. The school rector was so smitten with Martha even if she gave her her trademark “RAAAAWR” (Muntik na akong malunod sa hiya.) Buti na lang Sister told me, “Oh my she has a loud voice noh?” (Italian kasi). She was able to trick Martha though, and she was holding hands with her in no time.
- Sunday was slept sleeping. I slept from 2PM to 8PM. I woke up with dinner with the table and the kids in jammies. The house was also clean (not that clean pero mukhang nagligpit) – I could have died. My husband stood up from playing Cabal! Wahahahaha!
Lest you think everything is perfect, here is a reminder that my kids will always be cats and dogs. These were taken on continuous mode and here, ayaw magpahug ni Mato – Martha automatically cuddles pag me camerang nakapoint sa kanya eh.
Lots of great things happening this week – my dad celebrates his birthday on Friday! Dont forget to enter in my AWK Question for the week. I have a lot of things planned for those who participate!

I guess I already have given you a weekly recap of last week with this post, just imagine that being replayed day after day last week and you can see why I was thisclose to losing my mind (I lost my patience a hundred times actually).
The weekend was quite relaxing. Watched two Disney movies: Ratatouille and Kung Fu Panda. We were supposed to go to the mall so we can do groceries but the brakes of the vehicle was being wonky so we just bummed around my parents’ place. Pigged out (as usual). Went to mass. And worked. Toink. THAT will never happen again.

The weekend was fun nice but tiring, majority of which was spent where my parents stay.
Saturday we went swimming. There was a private pool resort just opened to the public (and which my mom is going to partially manage in case of bookings). I need to take pictures of it as we will advertise it soon. Anyways, my son has been constantly bugging me for a swim but the past few weeks have been rainy so we werent able to push through with our plans. Now, come Saturday morning with sun up, the kids were awake as early as 7AM. I normally sleep in Saturday morning because Edil is home and there is no school so imagine how irritated I was hehehe.
So we went swimming right in the middle of sun at its brightest - 1PM. We had the entire pool to ourselves so I was able to swim (in my swimming suit, bwahahaha). Too bad I was busy enjoying swimming that I forgot to take (many) pictures.

Martha miraculously enjoyed the water. (Maybe because the sun made the water lukewarm) - she didnt scream “Lammmmid!” and in fact was in and out of the water all the time. She would go out to pee and even, as she say, “rest lang Ma-tha ha, wait.” and then shed go up the kubo to get coke. My baby is now a little girl na talaga, bulol lang.
Matthew was his usual very makulit self. I am at this point where Matthew’s tantrums are not cute and understandable anymore and he is at the point where he doesnt know if he wants to be babied or treated as an adult. When you do it one way, he goes the other way. Argh, signs of pre-puberty I know. It’s causing me and Edil a headache.
Anyhow, it was enjoyable nonetheless. The kids were burned and were dead tired that Martha slept right after taking a bath and woke up at 10PM! (Aba eh, tinulugan ko sya, hehehe, andun naman ung tatay!)
Sunday was spent at my parents again (Masarap food dun eh, LOL) bumming around. We heard mass, made pasyal around the grounds at the Shrine and took pictures of the Retrievers we will help on selling.
More pictures at my Flickr.
Good weekend. Sa uulitin

*My titles seem boring these days.
Since the maids took the weekend off and they were gone since Friday morning, I was so tired by Friday night. Edil was kind enough to give in and get us all out the two days of the weekend (He also got his bonus kasi, hehehe).
Saturday was spent at the mall, we took the kids out, ate pizza, pasta and fries. Edil got me the router. Matthew got new PJs (the kids need to be in PJs when they sleep, it’s sort of tradition already here in my house. Matthew’s PJ’s were looking like capris already, LOL). He also got new undies which were printed. Martha got a potty training seat. So far, she has been staying in undies all day save for the time we go out, but she still tells me she needs to go. It’s a pain because she still wants to make wiwi on the toilet when she has diapers on - I think Im not ready for the busy-ness of potty training, hehehe. But yes, girls are easier to potty train - Martha was so effortless to train. In fact, I dont even tell her she goes straight to the potty when waking up after coming to me to take her pampers off! Once she does number 2 on the potty, wooohooo, Im going to be one proud mommah! She also switched to NIDO full time and we havent had any problems (We save at least 50% of our current milk expenses. Salamat anak, hahaha).
While Edil was paying bills, I checked the kids in at the playhouse. Walang kapaguran. Matthew was all over the place. When I went out to withdraw some money, the one in charge reviewed the slips and panicked when she saw Martha was just two and she had no listed guardian! She was busy riding the different toy horses with saddles! Matthew told her, “Matanda na po yan magisip eh” Hehehe. (Im sure Id get raised eyebrows here but believe when I say that the ATM machine was just on the next store :P)
