Wednesday Happy Thoughts

1. Happy Birthday Mama Mary!
2. Finally getting paid. F-I-N-A-L-L-Y! It’s an e-check so I need to wait a week to cash it out, but — Come to Mama!
3. Double strength coffee
4. Martha always drawing and writing and giving me some reassurance that she is learning her ABCs. She is really improving with her communication skills.
5. Upcoming get together with sisters-in-laws on Saturday and party with friends on Sunday
6. Arrival of bags.
7. 7 out of 8 – that’s the number of days I have been able to exercise in the elliptical since September started. From 20 minutes I can now last 30 minutes without feeling I am going to have a heart attack.
8. Relaxing massage right in the comforts of your own home.
9. Bananas – Nilagang saba, BananaQ and ripe bananas
10. Inspiring quotes from Mother Teresa. In fact, let me share you some I have saved:

"Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired."
I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.

"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."

"Peace begins with a smile."

"There are no great things, only small things with great love."

Hello September!

There goes my desire to properly welcome the start of the –ber months with a blog entry. This post comes in 25 hours late, as it is the 1st hour of the second day of the 9th month of the year!

Time flies so fast – a cliche, but very true indeed. How many times have I uttered these words in this blog throughout the years? So many things have been happening month after month this year and I am a bit sad that I am unable to chronicle it well. Even my scrapbooking has had to take a back seat with everything that needs my attention. I can always do a rack card printing of all the events of 2010 and hand them out as newsletters but 1) I am not famous! 2) Our life, as publicly disclosed as it seems, still is very private, and I would like to keep it that way.

And even if it is Thursday already, I want to play!

10. Flawless skin, for now.

Posting this early today. I think I need to force myself to think happy thoughts this week. Blame it on the hormones:

1. Great birthday party of my niece last weekend. We got to catch up with my relatives. It is always a good thing.

2. Slow work week. For once, I am looking forward to doing nothing – I know though that by the end of the week, a big load of work would eventually come.

3. “Martha’s” iPhone. Too bad it doesn’t have iphone insurance, I think it will need one. Martha has decided that she would learn the alphabet this way. She has taken a liking to “writing” letters and “sending’” letters, except that the e-mail addresses often consist of something like this: pyer093yr402139hk;snd. :)

4. Watching Miss Universe. It has been too long.

5. Finally installing Photoshop and Lightroom in my Mac – thanks to a friend.

6. A little shopping. Got my kids and the husband new clothes. I haven’t bought for them clothes since January.

7. Exercising. I hopped into the elliptical for the first time in almost three weeks of drowning with work. I last 20 minutes and had to stop because I thought I was going to have a stroke. But it’s a first. I plan to complete 30 minutes each day again – will keep you posted.

8. New ear buds for my iPhone and the Nano, it’s noise control too – love how clear everything sounds.

9. Looking forward to going to Manila for a couple of days by the end of the week.

10. Upcoming payslip – yahooo! (Please come this week!)

It seems this is the only time I get to update personally every week. We would have to remedy that.

1. Big surprise from the boss I work for.

2. Starbucks venti glass tumbler – I get to “feel” I drink Starbucks coffee even if I’m just drinking Nescafe.

3. Slow work week, for one. I got to sleep and do nothing last Monday – didn’t even turn on the computer. Yesterday I even ran some errands without worrying I am behind schedule on work.

4. Bejewelled Blitz for iPhone. Perfect way to get me sleepy.

5. Baked potato halves with cream cheese from Yellow Cab.

6. Completed family pictures so far this 2010. We have one decent family picture for each month of the year!

7. Ongoing weekly dates with the husband. Thankfully we have free time when both kids are in school.

8. New cookbooks and a recipe web site. Since I am getting tired of eating the same foods again and again.

9. T minus 7 = 7lbs! Hahaha, better than nothing.

10. IPod music.

1. Being able to serve in a Marian Retreat last Sunday – thank you Mama Mary!

2. Great QT with the husband last Monday. We turned the TV and computer off when the second kid went to school and talked.

3. Considerate bosses. I have not been feeling myself lately, maybe because of overexhaustion. They were very very considerate.

4. New project I was able to snag. And they accepted my rates.

5. Chew Chips Ahoy

6. Martha being such a Babble Girl lately. She talks a LOT – as in a LOT I have to make sure I answer her each time or else whichever thing or object she is holding comes flying in the air – very very bad temper (mana mana lang yan, hehehe)

7. New groceries.

8. Ebooks + New Paperbacks.

9. Steady work load.

10. Blessings and lessons.

1. The kids finally getting out of the hospital. They are on the mend now. Hopefully, recovery will be faster.

2. Edil taking a week long leave from work to help with the kids. I am spoiled – I have a driver!

3. Good skin after being religious with facial care. I don’t need any acne cleanser!

4. Pizza on a Wednesday – Shakey’s Pizzanatic Card – thank you :)

5. Having electricity.

6. Everyone was home safe when Basyang hit. I could not imagine how scared I would be if Edil was not there or worse, if he got an home an hour late.

7. Increasing work ethics. After years of struggling to manage my time, I finally think I am getting there.

8. Finally being able to read e-books on my iPhone!

9. Graces and potential graces. It is a clear reminder for me to trust in Divine Providence. And still be wise enough not to abuse and overuse it.

10. Potential trip. I hope it happens!

1. Good news from the husband. Unexpected and completely forgotten separation pay!

2. Being trusted to handle special assignments from my boss.

3. The kids doing well in school and everything going smoothly.

4. Having help around to cook for the kids (we need something heavy for breakfast), wake up earlier than me, laundry and iron uniforms. I cannot believe I lasted two years waking up (actually not sleeping) at 4AM every school day to cook for Matthew. I am extremely thankful I can just wake up (still early – Matthew needs me there – he is extremely SLOOOOW during mornings) and have my cup of coffee. Bliss, I tell you.

5. Meeting mommies at school. I feel normal!

6. Losing 4 lbs. Wooohoo :)

7. Glee Season Finale today!

8. Using my pink notebook

9. Even if I am busy, I am not stressed. Have you ever experienced that?

10. Rain!

Since it’s June, it’s all about school for parents who have kids in school!

1. First day orientation/class of Martha tomorrow. I am excited that I try not to panic. What if Martha wakes up and says, “Ayaw ko school!”. Though every night when we count down to school, she always says, “Sabi Daddy ko sleep ako, wake up then punta school sakay ako sa car!” – it means she is good to go.

2. The kids’ new haircuts.

3. RAIN!

4. Dress rehearsals like this:

(Parang Teacher’s Enemy No.1 ano?)

5. Going back to exercising.

6. Matthew playing his DS Lite again, after two years. He has been playing Pokemon nonstop.

7. Buying new electric fans (industrial), FTW! Especially since our credit card can take 0% installments all the time.

8. Plenty of time to scrapbook this week (which means no work but I will take what I can get)

9. Acuatico Album

10. Aaaaaaaand third week in a row but I just can’t help it – GLEE!
