1. Really excited and looking forward to serving in a retreat in Isabela this weekend.
2. And thankful for the opportunity given to me to give back and serve.
3. Fall TV is here!
4. In line with fall TV, the Vampire Diaries season premiere lasted me for four days – I watched it everyday since I got a copy.
5. But then, no matter how papalicious Damon is, I am looking forward to GLEE today!
6. Too bad I won’t see Episode 2 of TVD and the season premiere of Supernatural on time, but going away is completely worth it.
7. Sammy!
8. Don’t you notice this is full of fall TV? My life might be pathetic right now for you readers but I am trying to keep my mind off food.
9. But I need to include a food thought here – bananaque and Hershey’s kisses ice cream
And my sister’s birthday treat all day Saturday.
10. “You are where you need to be exactly, right now.”

I am always late – what is new?
1. Food for the soul last night (attended mass).
2. A client contacted me for an album project.
3. Matthew being the only 5th grader among the school’s representatives for the DSPC competition.
4. Martha finally being weaned from the bottle. Now if only I can get her to continue drinking milk in a glass. That has always been a challenge for my kids.
5. Our Smurf village going along quite nicely — it’s me and Marts’ mom-daughter bonding activity.
6. Martha knowing the “at” words – cat, hat, bat, mat. And Edil was the one who taught her.
7. So excited for fall TV to start – Glee, TVD, Supernatural, Fringe – oh year, I’m watching TV again!
8. New tunes on the iTunes.
9. Lovely lunch at Antonio’s – treated the parentals, thanks to Deal Grocer.
10. It seems to be a healthy week for the family – no one getting sick, running a runny nose, or coughing themselves through allergies. I was afraid I’d need to get medical scrubs from Marcus uniforms and be a real nurse in the homespital we call home.

I might as well drop off the word Wednesday from these weekly blog series because I almost always never write my happy thoughts on a Wednesday.
Some things that’s been keeping me happy:
1. I am on a roll – scrapping-wise that is. Due to some very good influence (read: plain old hawaan) over at Twitter, I have made use of Artscow’s current coupon (8×8 30page books for only $9.99 – shipped) and made not 1, not 2, not 3 (and no, I’m not going to count down all the way to —–), BUT SEVEN albums! (and counting, depending if I can wing it!). I will share it soon, at my scrapblog perhaps.
2. Twitter, IG and friends who hang out there. I have good influences on books, shopping, scrapping and teaching your kids how to do homework right. San ka pa debah? Whoever said I live a very kawawa life at home is very mistaken.
3. That being said, a friend also sent me a job posting for her company and I am really seriously considering it. I need to get past my heart breaking at the thought of not being there for my kids, but I cannot put my career on hold just because I can’t. Mommy needs to toughen up. Still praying for discernment on this though, as if naman I’d get accepted (but who knows diba?).
4. Singapore trip. It’s next week and I haven’t even thought much about it. (Getting prepared spiritually for it though).
5. 1.8lbs down again. Wooooooot! Slowly but surely!! I need to step up and try to get on the ellie again though.
6. Matthew getting better. I still want meds for his sinusitis but we need to see a specialist for it. Tomorrow.
7. Martha is so creative lately. She has decided watching TV is boring so she is drawing a lot and cutting and pasting. We are running out of paper in the house!
8. Work has been steady. I pray it picks up because Im trying to save up for something monumentally big and life-changing for October. But! Divine Providence. If all else fails, I am going to make singil (unpaid work, hahaha).
9. One Starbucks a week. I think it makes my coffee all the more cherished. (And helps me to drop .0005 pounds a day).
10. Mr. Sun is here but is hiding behind the clouds – my perfect kind of weather!

Oh my, it is so hard to think of happy thoughts when most of us are sick. Matthew is currently sick, so sick in fact that I am really praying the antibiotics work their magic fast or else we might end up admitting him like his Dad (bad sore throat + sinusitis). I have the “tubes”, because of prolonged rhinitis. Ears are tingling and I “feel” there is water coming out. I also cannot.stop.sneezing. The weather has officially gone whacko. I cannot even imagine when she (the weather) goes full-blown crazy. Scary. Edil meanwhile has skin eczema which puts him in a long treatment of prevention which equals to expenses. The only “healthy” member of the household is Martha – but I am too scared to shout it out because I might jinx it. She loves goading it to everyone though – “Ako healthy ako eh, inom kasi lagi ako ng water, si Tuya kasi di inom ng water eh. Kaya nasisick sya.” but she absolutely loses it when she realizes she is the only one going to school in the mornings and Matthew sleeps in my bed at night.
Anyway, my happy thoughts are all connected to the sickies in the house. Because,
1. I am thankful for HMO. We were two days late getting it when Edil was confined last May, but it has been put to use immediately. I have seen an OB + EENT, Edil a Dermatologist, the kids a Pedia + EENT and I am not scared of the ER (expenses) anymore.
2. I am thankful that I have been finally paid after 7 weeks. It was a tough time, since everyone keeps getting sick and business was slow, but it hasn’t come in a better time like now. We need the money for our medicines and to keep our family healthy.
3. I am thankful that even if we are sick, we all are still well-enough NOT to be admitted to the hospital. (NO jinxing please!)
In other news, some of the things making me happy:
1. No rice dinners. Hurray! 5 pounds down. You would not notice, but my feet do. My feet and ankles are begging me to lose weight already.
2. Edil’s anniversary gift arriving in Manila!
3. A real date happening tomorrow – sickies and all.
4. Garage sale
5. Credit card bills getting paid in full (see no.2 – we have been swiping for the last 7 weeks)
6. Instagr.am
7. McNaught books and friends addicted to the love, men and more (readbetweenthelines).

1. Supernatural, the TV series. Edil and I have been hooked and have watched Seasons 1-3 since Sunday. I tell you, it is a great series, especially if you are interested in angels and demons. I personally love how they emphasize the power of a person to choose – free will – and the power of love, in this case, the bromance between two brothers. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if ever you start watching. (I am even thankful we got one of those flat screen lcd tvs already).
2. Cuddle weather
3. Scrapping mojo is back.
4. Simple but fun Father’s Day celebration. I am thankful I still have my Dad to celebrate it with.
5. The kids sleeping schedule in check. They are in bed by 9PM ever since school started. And bittersweet – Martha is now sleeping in the other room. I miss cuddling with my baby girl.
6. We are going to celebrate six years of marriage this Friday. Thank You Father for the blessing!
7. Green salads – disclaimer: Not on a crash diet, just a little bit of cleaning.
8. Efficient Caren taking care of us – cooking meals, doing the laundry, and waking up early on a school day so the kids can eat a full breakfast.
9. Bag present from the Husband!
10. Massage. Hormones back on regular rotation, I hope.
