Table tennis
is the number one sport for me. Here are some of the reasons why.

It’s a complete game.

It requires a lot of skills, a good stamina, great agility, and a good amount of common sense in order to read your opponent’s game, come up with a strategy on the fly, and win. It doesn’t require you to be immensely strong, or insanely clever. It just requires a little of all attributes and a whole lot of heart that’s why it’s a complete game.

It’s more of an individual game (although you can play doubles with it too).

It’s not that I don’t like team sports. I do, but when it comes to playing I’d like to be able to have the power to win the game myself. I mean if I lose then it’s totally because my opponent is better than me, and not because some teammates are having an off day or something.

It doesn’t discriminate.

You don’t have to be tall, slim, or armed with a six-pack in order to win in table tennis. For as long as you can hit the ball when it counts, that’s all you really need.

It’s inexpensive to play.

The ping pong tables are relatively affordable. In some places, players even make do with regular wooden (dining) tables as substitute for ping pong tables. Plus, the only table tennis equipment you need to own is a racquet, and a ping pong ball.
