I have been scrapping Edil for two weeks in a row already - no special reasons. I just have so many “nice” pictures of him are that are dying to be scrapped. He is such a pro in front of the camera, Matthew takes after him - they just shine. And as usual, scrapping the SO makes me speechless. Really now, how do you journal about your DH without turning into a sap? Or mush? Or worse, a nag? LOL. I love these pages. Might make this into a “HIM” album one of these days - let’s see if I can make this layouts become 10 pages. Neutral colors too huh? Complete coincidence.
Here is another one:
You can click on each of the images to go to my Flickr gallery to see the larger version and know the credits as well. I have been leaning towards browns and blacks lately and have been so obssessed with making my layouts look like paper. Im far from it but design-wise, I have been hanging out at 2Peas more and more to get inspiration.

Do you want to scrap a layout like this? I’m now hosting the Cookie Decorating Challenge over at SSD and if you want to know how to scrap, I suggest you use templates first. A template is a file that has the design laid out for you — you just need to choose the photos, papers and the journaling! It is very easy to do. When I run out of creative mojo or if pressed for time, I use templates a lot. The instructions are already included in the download you will be getting.
You can read all about it here.

OK. So far, I havent been doing as many layouts as I like and as I should but I have more kits. Every week I download almost a gig of stuff, I can easily have a DVD worth of kits per month. I try to match that photo-wise but sometimes I only end up with about 3GB :). I really need to get an external hard drive soon. Maybe next month (Hay, walang katapusan!). I cannot just let them in DVDs, most especially the pictures, since DVDs also have a shelf life. I want to see them (and have convenient access) everytime I make a layout too.
If you see any great deals on 500GB EHDs, lemme know!

Beware :).
Well, Im not a really overly sentimental person and my sweetness is as moody as my personality so Im not really a very consistent person to deal with, LOL. If I find somebody who can tolerate all that, Im thankful and consider myself blessed already :). So I had to do this layout. I was forever trying to put this off since we havent had an opportunity to take picture of us together - the first time we met I was 6 months pregnant and tired all the time - but I guess it’s now or never!
To you Mare! Let’s go on a diet and be on size 12s this August so we can take pretty pictures together, LOL.

Credits here.

Digital Scrapbooking by far has been my most addicting hobby yet. I have over 20 DVDs worth of kits, endless subscriptions to newsletters, spend an insane amount at digital scrapforums and have even formed a group for Filipina scrapbookers! I am loving it!

Did you read the blinkie? Design + Charity = Happiness
Songbird Avenue is a concept made by Meredith Fenwick and Jan Crowley that produces one kit per month on collaboration with a guest designer. The kit is sold for a month and all proceeds go to the chosen charity for the month.
I so love the spirit of charity, sisterhood and love among the digital community. If ever you want to help, you can donate at the site and purchase the kit, a collaboration with THE Shabby Princess. The charity of the month is March of Dimes.
Im going to purchase the kit soon, and plan to purchase each kit every month.

As part of my monthly round ups, one of the questions I need to answer is what were my reads for the said month. Since January, I have not read anything but magazines, specifically scrapbooking magazines - Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, BHG Scrapbooks Etc. It does not help that there is now a local distributor of the magazines in our country. It reminds of my post-maternity days when I would buy magazines by bulk per month - Yes!, Smart Parenting, Good Housekeeping and the occasional wedding magazine. During college, I was so into Cosmopolitan and Preview. If I can afford it, I would be In Style as well.
Yes, Im a magazine junkie in the truest sense of the word. I love reading articles, browsing through eye candy. Im one of the few weird people who read magazines from back to front, and look at pictures first, then read articles after a day or two.
I have not read a fully engaging book in a year. I resolve to change my mindset. Can you please give me any book recommendations? Tell me the storyline and and if it fits right in my taste, Ill be sure to read it! Thanks!

After more than a month of waiting, I finally got it!
The Canon Rebel xTi
It arrived last Saturday but we just got it last Monday (03.26.07). So far, we already have around 300 shots taken, mostly by Edil. He was more excited than I am and has been fiddling with it every chance he gets. It’s a good thing though since I get to be in the pictures for once.
Is it worth it? Oooooh yes, definitely :). Moving shots of Martha have never been clearer. I need more tutorials though how to shoot manually.
Thanks again, Glo! Who would have though having a pink and brown wedding would lead us to have this kind of friendship?

..I laughed so hard that I could not breathe and had tears rolling down my face. I laughed so hard over the most mundane things and giggled over a starting infatuation. I laughed so hard because I had such a great time listening to people talk.
And I had a warm feeling when I had a talk with Glo about my scrapping style
aggieaustriaco (4:53:43 AM): simple scrapbooker nga ako diba
aggieaustriaco (4:53:58 AM): my LOs arent really knockouts pero i take pride in my journaling

You might have noticed the absence of scraps here in my blog. Im resurrecting my old wedding blog into a scrap blog and from now, all things scrappa will be posted there.
I also have a Flick Account, where you can see my latest pages.
And as of now, my hands are itching to spend again on all the upcoming (and ongoing) sales at digiland. Im controlling myself because a) I want to buy another hard drive and upgrade my RAM, b) Im now approaching 200 layouts and I want to start printing them by batches!, c) Im so blessed to be in way too many cool teams to even have time to scrap for more kits! LOL, d) I want to save.
I did buy something yesterday though, LOL. (Forget about the previous paragraph!). I’ve been looking FOREVER for this book and I finally found it on eBay for…guess what? $3.99!! No wear and tear! I remember Tali saying that is her most favorite book of all time so I wanted to get that
It should be shipped to my Mom this week..thanks Mare!
With the presence of two househelp, I am now back to scrapping a page a day, which is still slow for me as I have five pages of “to be scrapped ideas” but..as they say, it is all about the memories!
I got the premier issue of the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine as well (thanks to www.ideabooks4.com!). Im still waiting for the DW Stamping book. Did I also mention I have the CK March edition magazine? And well, yes, Im so inspired with CD Muckosky! Such awesome and rare talent - her layouts really have “heart”.
So enough about the scrap updates, scrap more with the sweet stuff

Ok, I can finally breathe a little. Training was finished one hour earlier so I have time to blog, and catch up on my online life :).
Shall we do a weekend recap?
Saturday was spent meeting the wonderful ladies of Pinay Digiscrappers - or Bebots, as we have coined ourselves (due to a blinkie Buge made - which read Bebots, from the song made by Black Eyed Peas). It was so fun to finally meet the faces behind the names I have exchanged loooooooooooong threads about
I was able to meet Angie, Jenny, Kaje, Mich, Rona, Abie, Wanda, and Jacq (for the second time).

From L to R: JennyL, Abie, Mich, Jacq, Kaje, Moi, Rona, Angie and Wanda
We actually talked as if it wasnt the first time we have met - and it was sooo nice to be able to talk about scrapping, the addiction, the evolution to being a tech geek, everything! I was my usual talkative self - and I would have talked more if there was food! LOL. Nagkahiyaan ata umorder - or ako lang talaga ang matakaw, hahahaha! Angie (anglebq) was very very pretty! But she was smaller in person, LOL, more petite is the term actually
Love you Angie! Mich and Kaje were newbies in the forum but I was very very happy to see them and meet them (and they were at home agad which was nice!) (Ate) Jenny looked younger than her age (Ihahanap ka namin ng lovelife Ate promise!), and Rona gave me tips to look slimmer, LOL. I was the tallest (and biggest) in the group! Jacq was there, and I cant believe that meeting might be the last time Im seeing her! *sniff* Newlywed Wanda was still in honeymoon bliss, and our kwento extended to the ride home, but we talked about married life there
It was as if we were friends for a long time - and it made me slightly guilty that Im not able to see my IRL friends in months now (our schedules just dont match kasi, kainis). Isa lang masasabi ko: Mauulit dito. Dapat. And next time, kakain na tyo ha?!
Details of our kwento was so long. Glo phoned in from overseas. There were THREE dSLRs and THREE cameras shooting away, (and yet, isa pa lang nakikita kong peechur! Helllar!). I had the most boisterous laugh
LOL.
See you soon Bebots!!!
