Since this month is our wedding month, I decided to feature random posts about our wedding and how married life has been for us.
I got an e-mail the other day about someone stumbling upon my blog while looking for ideas for a pink and brown wedding. It seems that is what our wedding was known for, especially at Weddings@Work, a online community I joined in while I planning my wedding.
I planned everything online, 3 months before the wedding day. And mind you, our wedding was out of town. It helped a lot that our wedding day fell on a weekday so getting wedding suppliers was easier.
And believe it or not, I spent more time working on the details of our wedding day than on my wedding gown. I finalized my wedding gown on May 15 and had it made two weeks after. And our wedding was on June 24. There was a reason for this – I never really made an effort to lose weight so deciding on a wedding gown that wouldn’t make me look fat nor motherly was a challenge.
In the end I decided on this, I wanted everything to be just like it even the matching heels .
In the end, my wedding couturier was able to make me look like a bride. With the matching shoes, only with a big custom-made Swarovski crystal flower as an accent.
This is perfect for a garden wedding though:
Saw it from Stylehive.com
I have been offline (well, not entirely, hindi lang talaga nagpaparamdam ) for sometime (just disappeared from Twitter last Friday) and yesterday for the MBAP meeting. Argh. I have a valid reason
Offline: Firefox 3.0 sucks. Big time. Well, there are still a lot of bugs so dont download it so soon. I kept getting a page load error last Friday on most sites and I thought it was an ISP error on my end. The burning point was when my I could not even reach my own blog! So I checked using my Dad’s connection at their end and it came up. ISP not a problem. I thought the firewall of my Kaspersky was the problem. Disabled it. Error still there. I was literally crying my frustration – major Aggie tantrum about to erupt when Edil stepped in. He didnt know what to do. I was livid! LOL.
The solution: Googled. I googled “page load error” (the error of the websites) and found the thread from the Mozilla forums. Boo. Troubleshooted. The error went away.
The next day, FF kept on closing! Aba eh!
The solution: Uninstalled FF3.0, downloaded and installed FF2.0.
Real Life: I was supposed to go to Manila for the MBAP meeting yesterday and was really going. But the kids wanted to go swimming and we did. We were alone in a nice new pool and I swam (first time ever this summer – summer pa ba?) so the kids are nognog again and Edil and I are sunburned. We swam from 1pm to 4pm (Atat the kidlets).
This explains why I can blog and surf like crazy because the kids are knocked out and Edil is sleeping soundly. We are to go to the Shrine and stay there for the mass and some bonding time with the grandparents. My mom has a pella pan I want to see. And we need to take pictures of the Golden Retriever puppies we will be selling.
By Tuesday, Im off to Manila for a tentative three-day work week – many many errands to do. I hope to meet my best friends and do some pampering if ever I get a huge separation pay from the company I worked for. Here’s praying.
Enjoy the remaining of the weekend

Credit cards are something that can either help or break you. One should know how to handle credit and use it wisely. Almost everyone I know has one and while most of them find it helpful and still be free from huge debt, there are others who are way deep into credit card debt. Compare Cash Back Credit Cards before applying for one. I feel that one should have the credit card that would work best for him whether it be for the rewards, air miles, or even the bank associated with the card. One should compare credit cards so that they will know what could be best for them. CreditCardSearchEngine.com is one of the Internet’s longest running sites for online credit card comparison. It allows consumers, business and students alike to search, compare, and apply for all types of credit card offers, everything from low interest and reward card to cards for people with bad to average credit.
It’s actually flattering.
I have had over 200-250 hits everyday for the last couple of months. And you know which posts were most viewed? My wedding preps posts. The google search words were related to my wedding (Dangwa, Alex Franco cakes, wedding preps, Caleruega, Sonya’s, PINK AND BROWN – do you know how many searched for it? 89!!!), and yes, Ive got to thank Mimi and Karl for referring many visitors too. (They’ve got a new site, check it out!). And, of course, w@w.
17 months later and the happiest day of our lives are still helping others make their own dream wedding come true.
Edil promised we would celebrate our 5th year with another wedding. Given where we are right now, that might be unlikely. But you bet this wouldnt stop me from planning our 10th, hehehe. And yes, it would still have PINK on it . (and Mimi and Karl will still be covering it!)
One of my officemates sent the link from our wedding pictures to her friend who was getting married. The friend’s officemate squealed when she saw Edil. It turns out he was one of her crushes in Mapua High and when he went to college in Mapua. LOL. Sige na nga, gwapo na nga asawa ko He is looking for a job as a Mechanical Engr (but not a board passer). Any suggestions? We are currently finding a way for him to go out of the country first since I cant afford to test my waters since I still have a baby to nurse and take care of. Ang hirap na talaga ng buhay sa Pinas.
