Friendster, MySpace, and now, Facebook. These are just few of the networking social sites these days that have users growing by the millions. Many people have found each other, reconnected, met new friends through these sites. I used to be heavily involved with Friendster before, it was so much fun reconnecting with my old friends — we were able to organize reunions because of that.
Now think if something that big of a caliber with the same great concept will be applied to businesses and networking/marketing. Im sure it will be a huge hit among pressionals. Online reputation management is a big issue with the advent on technology these days. With the Look up page (www.lookuppage.com), professionals are guaranteed of exposure, networking and profile details. A Professional online profile is given to members and they are driven to fulfill a basic need - to help manage one’s reputation. Their philosophy is simple: Reputation matters. Their network can be indexed by search engines making your name get found faster!

Many stores now use the point of sales system or POS. This system has been proven effective in monitoring sales and supplies in small businesses and large-scale malls or stores - the used pos equipment really affects the financial aspect of a business. The ncr point of sale offers receipt equipment too. The challenge here lies in keeping the equipment in tip top shape. Vision provides services for refurbished point of sale products. Their services includes installation, project management, staging and project reassignment is needed. And if ever you no longer need it, Vision also purchases used pos equipment, like ibm pos equipment! They offer point of sale terminals, bar code scanners (bar code scanner and/ or a handheld barcode scanner) , POS servers and printer receipts and many more. Vision Point of Sale has been established in 1993 and has been considered the nation’s leading supplier of products and services that support the POS marketplace. The POS system has greatly been a factor in the improvement and tracking of auditing of malls and stores. Imagine if you would still queue up for the purchase at the mall and the sales clerk or cashier would need to type in the ba code manually? Thank goodness for technology!

I’ve always loved anything that I can keep my hands busy with which also helps me with my creativity. Ive tried painting, cross-stitching, sewing, scrapbooking. Now I want to tryworking with polymer clay! At the AMACO/Brent web site, there are polymer clay technique books which I can read so that I will know what I need and what I need to do first. I especially am interested in the Creative Clay Jewelry book, Im sure Martha will be interested in that! You might have seen a clay potter wheel from the famous movie, “Ghost”, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.AMACO/Brent makes those for educational classes (wholesale) and hobbyists (retail). Id personally like to try the lead-free glazes they over. You can paint plates, jars and have them glazed. It would look great for displaying at the house ~ and it will be handmade and specially designed by you - you will be sure that what you have is unique and nobody else will have it!

Do you know what RTO means and how this can be important for you? Well RTO means rent to own or lease to own. If you want to know what is rent to own exactly, you can go to the RTOHQ (HeadQuarters). This mechanism is relatively new to the American economy. This way sprung up with the consumer need to be able to invest on desirable goods for the long term without having long term financial obligations usually tied up with sales. There will be no interest rates — and you can stop “renting” it at any time. The keyword here is you rent goods up until the point where you have rented enough to actually own it.
What is the industry made of? There are dealers who rent furniture, electronics, major appliances, computers, wheels and tires, musical instruments, jewelry and other products with an option to buy. There are approximately 8,500 stores in all 50 states and Canada. RTO serves 3 million customers (households) a year.

Buildings and towers, in addition to their design and structure, must need one thing - a very solid foundation. In the construction industry, they know how important and demanding getting a precast done. The industry demands strength, beauty, integrity and durability on precast/prestressed concrete. So you shouldnt be getting it just from anybody. Get your Precast Concrete
from Jensen Precast. They have utility structures for electric transmission and distribution, telecommunications, water distribution (Like the Precast Concrete Septic Tanks), natural gas distribution and cable TV. According to Wikipedia, “Precast concrete is an ancient type of construction material made with concrete cast in a reusable mold or “form” which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and lifted into place. In contrast, standard concrete is poured into large forms and cured on site. Precast stone is distinguished from precast concrete by using a fine aggregate in the mixture so the final product approaches the appearance of naturally occurring rock or stone.”

Along with my quest on being healthy is my quest to to be have energy efficent products for the house. Living in the suburbs has made me realize what a better and healthier place we will live in if we have a nice environment. Here my kids are blooming and are healthy! I have been interested on the products of EcoGeek Living because of this. This is a company, founded by Chrystal Dailey and Malaika Ashcroft, which produces trendy gadgets which are environmentally safe. I hope this can be a trend we will see in the future. We need to save the environment! Go green!

My mom recently drafted the souvenir program for an international celebration. This covered the seven continents as the members and the mission are global in strength. While the program itself was drafted and written in English, there were important people who wrote their message in their native English - either Filipino or Italian. Since it will be distributed internationally, my mom sought out to get professional translation for the messages instead of letting her kids just translate it with the help of Google Search :). The program came out nice and she received quite a few very nice compliments with it. Now my mom is busy liquidating expense reports incurred during the making process so we havent been able to disturb her for a while now. She calls often though to ask the grandkids to visit her. I guess she needs a stress buster and a way for her to relax and keep her mind off stressful things. The kids will be staying with them when I go to Manila next week for three days. This should be fun

Sorry I cant help but gush about high fuel prices — Edil and I were talking about that last night, and Edil was telling me that diesel will even go up as high as 65pesos, that is just too much! I hope the worldwide crisis will end soon - even rice prices are going up. Even maintenance of our car is going to be a huge problem. It’s a good thing that in the US there is midwest auto recycling which specializes in used engines and transmissions and has one of the strongest warranty nation wide. All miles are CARFAX verified. All ENGINES come as a complete assembly. They are started, inspected for compression, cylinder leak down tested, checked for oil pressure and cleaned. ALL TRANSMISSIONS are test driven, visually inspected and cleaned.

The weekend was so bleary-blech-boo because of the typhoon. I was quite surprised that it was Signal No.3 already. After Milenyo, I think every storm is now phooey for me. Nevertheless, my mom sent us a few candles and an umbrella (yes, we dont have an umbrella in the house!) There were a few people in Church yesterday and lesser cars on the road but we managed to get to Church, visit my parents (I ate my mom’s pasta with olives, capers and mushrooms - yumm-o) and did some grocery too.
Everything was just cold and boring that the kids were asleep by 9PM.
Now the sun is shining and Im expecting it to last a day or two.
I need the sun to lift up my spirits a bit.
I was so disoriented with the whole day looking like evening.

I would really want to go to a spa these days. Id want the best pampering I can afford from head to foot. The best pampering I got was when I was about to get married - I got the whole package from head to foot and I had the honey treatment and oh my, my skin was so soft and oh so yummy and smells so good after, if I do say so myself! A spa job actually isnt good at compensating but you really are after the tips from the customers. If you have a satisfied customer, your tip will most probably be enormous
BeautyJobs recently launched a brand-new online job search engine, www.beautyjobs.com. Created exclusively for the beauty industry, the website will connect qualified job seekers with salon and spa owners and others who have beauty, salon, spa, or cosmetology jobs to fill—free of charge.

If God, for a second, forgot what I have become and granted me a little bit more of life, I would use it to the best of my ability.
I wouldn’t, possibly, say everything that is in my mind, but I would be more thoughtful of all I say.
I would give merit to things not for what they are worth, but for what they mean to express.
I would sleep little, I would dream more, because I know that for every minute that we close our eyes, we waste 60 seconds of light.
I would walk while others stop; I would awake while others sleep.
If God would give me a little bit more of life, I would dress in a simple manner, I would place myself in front of the sun, leaving not only my body, but my soul naked at its mercy.
To all men I would say how mistaken they are when they think that they stop falling in love when they grow old, without knowing that they grow old when they stop falling in love.
I would give wings to children, but I would leave it to them to learn how to fly by themselves.
To old people I would say that death doesn’t arrive when they grow old, but with forgetfulness.
I have learned so much with you all, I have learned that everybody wants to live on top of the mountain, without knowing that true happiness is obtained in the journey taken & the form used to reach the top of the hill.
I have learned that when a newborn baby holds, with its little hand, his father’s finger, it has trapped him for the rest of his life.
I have learned that a man has the right and obligation to look down at another man, only when that man needs help to get up from the ground.
Say always what you feel, not what you think. If I knew that today is the last time that that I am going to see you asleep, I would hug you with all my strength and I would pray to the Lord to let me be the guardian angel of your soul.
If I knew that these are the last moments to see you, I would say “I love you”.
There is always tomorrow, and life gives us another opportunity to do things right, but in case I am wrong, and today is all that is left to me, I would love to tell you how much I love you & that I will never forget you.
Tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone, young or old. Today could be the last time to see your loved ones, which is why you mustn’t wait; do it today, in case tomorrow never arrives. I am sure you will be sorry you wasted the opportunity today to give a smile, a hug, a kiss, and that you were too busy to grant them their last wish.
Keep your loved ones near you; tell them in their ears and to their faces how much you need them and love them. Love them and treat them well; take your time to tell them “I am sorry”;” forgive me”,” please” “thank you”, and all those loving words you know.
