Along with my quest on being healthy is my quest to to be have energy efficent products for the house. Living in the suburbs has made me realize what a better and healthier place we will live in if we have a nice environment. Here my kids are blooming and are healthy! I have been interested on the products of EcoGeek Living because of this. This is a company, founded by Chrystal Dailey and Malaika Ashcroft, which produces trendy gadgets which are environmentally safe. I hope this can be a trend we will see in the future. We need to save the environment! Go green!

My mom recently drafted the souvenir program for an international celebration. This covered the seven continents as the members and the mission are global in strength. While the program itself was drafted and written in English, there were important people who wrote their message in their native English - either Filipino or Italian. Since it will be distributed internationally, my mom sought out to get professional translation for the messages instead of letting her kids just translate it with the help of Google Search :). The program came out nice and she received quite a few very nice compliments with it. Now my mom is busy liquidating expense reports incurred during the making process so we havent been able to disturb her for a while now. She calls often though to ask the grandkids to visit her. I guess she needs a stress buster and a way for her to relax and keep her mind off stressful things. The kids will be staying with them when I go to Manila next week for three days. This should be fun

The maids are going to take the weekend off and Im going to be left alone with the princess in this big house the rest of the day. Let us hope the husband comes home early because we cant go to my parents as they are in Lucena as well.
Until then, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Pray that I do not lose my mind or let Martha do the cooking herself. Hehehe.

Sorry I cant help but gush about high fuel prices — Edil and I were talking about that last night, and Edil was telling me that diesel will even go up as high as 65pesos, that is just too much! I hope the worldwide crisis will end soon - even rice prices are going up. Even maintenance of our car is going to be a huge problem. It’s a good thing that in the US there is midwest auto recycling which specializes in used engines and transmissions and has one of the strongest warranty nation wide. All miles are CARFAX verified. All ENGINES come as a complete assembly. They are started, inspected for compression, cylinder leak down tested, checked for oil pressure and cleaned. ALL TRANSMISSIONS are test driven, visually inspected and cleaned.

The weekend was so bleary-blech-boo because of the typhoon. I was quite surprised that it was Signal No.3 already. After Milenyo, I think every storm is now phooey for me. Nevertheless, my mom sent us a few candles and an umbrella (yes, we dont have an umbrella in the house!) There were a few people in Church yesterday and lesser cars on the road but we managed to get to Church, visit my parents (I ate my mom’s pasta with olives, capers and mushrooms - yumm-o) and did some grocery too.
Everything was just cold and boring that the kids were asleep by 9PM.
Now the sun is shining and Im expecting it to last a day or two.
I need the sun to lift up my spirits a bit.
I was so disoriented with the whole day looking like evening.

I would really want to go to a spa these days. Id want the best pampering I can afford from head to foot. The best pampering I got was when I was about to get married - I got the whole package from head to foot and I had the honey treatment and oh my, my skin was so soft and oh so yummy and smells so good after, if I do say so myself! A spa job actually isnt good at compensating but you really are after the tips from the customers. If you have a satisfied customer, your tip will most probably be enormous
BeautyJobs recently launched a brand-new online job search engine, www.beautyjobs.com. Created exclusively for the beauty industry, the website will connect qualified job seekers with salon and spa owners and others who have beauty, salon, spa, or cosmetology jobs to fill—free of charge.

If God, for a second, forgot what I have become and granted me a little bit more of life, I would use it to the best of my ability.
I wouldn’t, possibly, say everything that is in my mind, but I would be more thoughtful of all I say.
I would give merit to things not for what they are worth, but for what they mean to express.
I would sleep little, I would dream more, because I know that for every minute that we close our eyes, we waste 60 seconds of light.
I would walk while others stop; I would awake while others sleep.
If God would give me a little bit more of life, I would dress in a simple manner, I would place myself in front of the sun, leaving not only my body, but my soul naked at its mercy.
To all men I would say how mistaken they are when they think that they stop falling in love when they grow old, without knowing that they grow old when they stop falling in love.
I would give wings to children, but I would leave it to them to learn how to fly by themselves.
To old people I would say that death doesn’t arrive when they grow old, but with forgetfulness.
I have learned so much with you all, I have learned that everybody wants to live on top of the mountain, without knowing that true happiness is obtained in the journey taken & the form used to reach the top of the hill.
I have learned that when a newborn baby holds, with its little hand, his father’s finger, it has trapped him for the rest of his life.
I have learned that a man has the right and obligation to look down at another man, only when that man needs help to get up from the ground.
Say always what you feel, not what you think. If I knew that today is the last time that that I am going to see you asleep, I would hug you with all my strength and I would pray to the Lord to let me be the guardian angel of your soul.
If I knew that these are the last moments to see you, I would say “I love you”.
There is always tomorrow, and life gives us another opportunity to do things right, but in case I am wrong, and today is all that is left to me, I would love to tell you how much I love you & that I will never forget you.
Tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone, young or old. Today could be the last time to see your loved ones, which is why you mustn’t wait; do it today, in case tomorrow never arrives. I am sure you will be sorry you wasted the opportunity today to give a smile, a hug, a kiss, and that you were too busy to grant them their last wish.
Keep your loved ones near you; tell them in their ears and to their faces how much you need them and love them. Love them and treat them well; take your time to tell them “I am sorry”;” forgive me”,” please” “thank you”, and all those loving words you know.

Doctors here in our country are actually gems - they are extremely smart AND intelligent and have a passion for helping people. It is too bad that they go to greener pastures because sometimes, the passion for helping people would not help feed one’s family especially if they are overworked and underpaid. Take this for example, doctor in other countries are given PDAs, especially those working in government hospitals, so that they can study while doing rounds (e-books) and they get free medical applications for blackberry for drug treatment guides. Epocrates has a medical reference software guide that will extremely be beneficial for doctors. Diagnosis, Drug Prescription and Dosage and Health Plan Treatment are going to be dealt with faster and quicker. I just hope this will be available here soon.
This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

There is a farm in Hawaii called the Kona Kava Farm which is developing the kona kava line - a herbal ethnobotanical line of products. They carry products such as the Shaman Rattle Root which are not found elsewhere - they claim to have gotten it from tribal shaman (high priests).
They wanted to grow the products in US and India so they would not need to deal with third party suppliers from Brazilian Rainforests, Africa and elsewhere. They have started their extremely high quality private reserve in the Farm. They strive to share the highest quality botanical specimens for archival, ornamental, herbarium specimen, or as incense components, as well as the freshest organic seeds to add to any modern-day Shaman’s Garden, plus a wide variety of incense and other meditation supplies, while providing a wealth of accurate information regarding sacred plants for all those who share the same love for them.

We are now halfway through the year!
WOW.
And we can say this over and over again - where did all the time go?
Lots to do today. We had an awesome weekend. My faith has been tested so many times as well. The little things the Big Man Up There teaches me.
See you later, I need to go to the market

A cousin has been obsessed with everything about the medieval era. He even got a suit of armor to be able to add something to his everygrowing collection. It sounds really weird but believe or not, people are even offering to buy his collection and it is very very expensive!
