If you want to change your hairstyle without chopping off your locks, you can try getting clip on hair extensions. It easily modifies your hair length and color, aside from being reasonable. They are also easy to fit in few minutes unlike hiring a professional stylist when placing permanent real hair extensions.
Here are some advantages:
1. These types of extensions will not ruin the hair as opposed to permanent extensions for hair that need damaging adhesive to position the hair. In addition, you can preserve the appearance of the clip-in extension because you will not go to bed wearing it.
2. You can also use these options during special events and not wear them frequently.
3. Clip on hair extensions are affordable contrary to permanent hairpiece extensions.
If you decide to explore wearing different colors of lace front wigs or extensions to modify your looks when you go out for date or during special events, clip-on extensions are a great alternative.

This was inspired by this blog entry.
Time sure does change the way you see things. Perception and understanding can be very subjective and are greatly influenced by change.
And without even thinking (much) about it, here are my 5 best decisions:
Getting married (eventhough we don’t have wedding bands to prove it — got lost). Quitting my job to stay at home to take care of the kids. Moving from the city to where we live. Starting blogging. Trying hard, over and over again.
I noticed that these best decisions aren’t the ones that took AGES for me to decide on. They weren’t the ones that were in my plan, you know. In fact, these were all risks we dared take! I have always mapped out this skyrocket life plan for me and I am nowhere near it, except the kids’ part. And yet I am most content on where I am right now. Sometimes, God really brings you to where you should be. You might go off-course, be rock-headed and stay put or go away, but He will try, and try again. Only if you’d let Him.

I have originally planned to write this post exactly when March arrived, but as everything else that goes with me – it didn’t exactly happen as I have planned.
BUT – you have to give me credit! It’s only the 4th of March which means I almost did make it. *wink*
March looks promising. I always want to keep that positive outlook every time change happens. So what have I planned this month?
Well, for starters, it seems that we have started this month running. Well, it’s technically running for the husband and walking for me. But hey, we are already on Day 4 of Run Project. This is actually one of the many things I am thankful for, having him at home. Someone gets to kick my butt aka push me to take care of myself better. I have a bad habit of taking care of everything else but me – aren’t all moms like that? In a sense, the husband is taking care of me, and I like it. It’s not in a mushy kind of way, but his presence in the house keeps me in on my toes all the time. And that is something that may drain me in the next months to come but for now, I am going to bask in the glory of having a driver on call 24 hrs a day (HA!).
Anyway, I have originally planned to make February an ALL ABOUT ME month, given I have just turned a monumental 30. I have planned to share some thoughts which I haven’t really done in the past year which I really, really miss. Scew internet privacy. What I share here doesn’t really invade my privacy – because I want to share how I feel. I do keep things more private, so those of you reading only catch a glimpse of what my life truly is. But as I have realized, what is worth sharing is something that can inspire people. And this is my goal for the year, inspire, share, move. This year I want to focus on developing myself for a change. And while it technically is a letdown (and kind of anti-climactic) of my goal-oriented 2010 where we made big leaps, something’s telling me I got to keep still this year. Every night, every time I get anxious, I get an answer. Keep still. Keep still. Keep still.
I have been jotting down a few topics about myself that I want to turn into scrap pages and maybe if I overcome my what’s for the internet vs what’s for me, battle I can share it to you too but here is a short list:
1. 30 at 30 list – Im going to share this one, as it involves some fun lists of simple things I want to do this year. You might want to consider creating one for yourself too.
2. Me at 30.
3. 30 Things I have Done In my 30 years – Can you tell I love being 30? Because the buck stops here, Im never growing old! 30 is the number for me – I wont turn 31, 32 or 33. I will forever be 30! Hahaha!
Annnnnnnnd, I have a huge project in my hands, completing Martha’s Martha-isms book before she turns 5 in a few months. Mato’s Matthew-isms was a big big hit to my son, and from there I knew I just had to keep on scrapbooking. I am on Page 59 on WordDoc, and thanks to blogging, I have managed to put them down. Martha cannot read yet, but when she can, she would really love this book. (She wants to be the center of everyone’s attention, see).
Anyway, this has been long. Till next time!

Last year, April to be exact, I had my hair (which I patiently waited to grow long for two years) digitally permed. Everyone loved my curly hair. I loved it too, it was the perfect hair for me who is a wash and wear girl. I did not even have to comb it! After 10 months, I decided on a whim to have the curls cut, and here I am back to where I was two years ago, a layered bob. People have mixed reactions to it, and I am wishy washy with it too, primarily because I need to comb my hair and shorter hair is harder to style, especially if you have it in layers. But my hair is healthier, I consume less shampoo and I no longer panic at the sight of hair on the bathroom floor everytime after I take a bath.
So I will just take care of my hair from now, make it healthier and stronger, so that I can have it curled after a year maybe. For now, I made a promise to myself that I will have it cut everytime I drop down a certain dress size – I no longer want to hide behind my long curly hair! (What a statement!)
So that means that instead of shopping for curling creams, moisturizing creams and conditioner, I need to be shopping for tools to style my hair.
Hair Brushes is the first on the list. I am quite drawn to paddle brushes since it claims to have less hair fall and are gentle to hair strands. Plus I have seen this used by princesses in movies! Seriously though, this brush is used to smooth naturally straight hair. You won’t create volume with this kind of brush. This is a bamboo eco-friendly brush:

Hair Dryers are also a staple since I need to create volume with my layers when I am going out. I really am not particular with any brand. There are various brands being offered at LoveOurPrices.com at such affordable prices that I am having a hard time picking. Flat Irons are something my sister needs. She loves to have straight hair and since her hair is naturally wavy, a flat iron is her savior!

I have been dreaming of getting a printer for years now. Yes, you have read it right. Y-E-A-R-S! Thanks to the rewards program of our internet provider and availing of their retention program (we have no choice, they are the only internet service provider in our area), we finally got a printer a few months ago. It is a printer, copier and scanner at the same time. So far, we have printed a list of labels for our DVDs (all of them in full color, as the husband’s demand) and my never ending list and scrap portfolios. We printed a lot of full-colored pages and right now, we need to get new printer ink cartridges in time for school. I intend to personalize their name labels for their books and notebooks (I am a scrapbooker of course, and an OC mommy).
The husband suggested that instead of getting new printer cartridges we can have it cheaper if we buy a refill ink kit for the printer cartridge. There are a lot stores selling them right now but it would be better if we get it from a reputable store like Printer-Cartridges.com. They even have detailed instructions with pictures on how to refill the ink of a printer cartridge.

Finally, after two years, I had my hair curled!(I am procastination in person! I still need to look at life insurance quotes given to me last December!) Last week, I decided “this was it” and I better do it because I was itching to cut my hair again. I figured at least I get to see what it looks like – if I dont like it, I can always cut it.
I had it done at Tony & Jackey and I really wanted one like this, but the stylist told me that it will be a waste of money because digital perming loosens in 4-6 weeks so better have it in small curls (small carl like he says) – so it is. Beside it is my uber brittle, thin, fine hair (according to Mario, my stylist).
After four hours, here is me, transporting back to when I was eight (or three):
See my hair back in 1982:
See this post.
A more decent picture:

And the reaction of Martha of course:
Mom, bakit hair mo like that? Tapos tinouch ko ung bangs ko, "WOW, ganda naman Mom!"
Tapos biglang sabi,
Mom, my hair look? Pretty?
(See her braid, Ate Caren makes her hair like this every now and then, she loves it!)

Right now:
I gave up Facebook and Twitter for Lent. That is the hardest thing for me to do, but two weeks from quitting, I am more productive and have more time in my hands. I am thinking I might need to do this all the way.
I now have an iPhone – which to this day I have not fully used yet. I am too busy and swamped with work to set aside time to play with it.
We now have househelp. And everyday I send a prayer of gratitude for her.
I also have a printer, which I got for free. This makes me absurdly happy.
Work has been so rewarding the past months. Plus I haven’t shopped online since 2010. Savings have started to become more real, and for once, Im not having tension headaches because of the upcoming enrollments of my kids. Thank You Looooorrrd!
