I have proven that we might be needing another desktop computer or laptop soon. Yes, we are a family of four with two kids below ten and we have one desktop computer and a laptop - and we still need one more. I think that classifies us under the family of geeks.
However, it is simply not within our means to be able to get one so soon so I might as well get into wishful thinking and join the Charter Laptop-a-Day Giveaway contest. I wish I can though.

My mom’s side on the family has a genetic tendency to be bald, especially the men. My mom has thin hair and she has always been conscious of her hair, never letting it go past her shoulders, always having full bangs because she thinks her forehead is receding. This worry extends to all her daughters’ hair. She always reminds us to not grow our hair long because it is heavy and will recede our hairline early, have our bangs all the time. In fact, she would even comment that we need a haircut every month.
I know if she had the money she would invest on hair transplant or those procedures being offered today to let hair grow and thicken. However, there are reviews on www.hairlossreviews.net that natural products can help thinning and hair loss. There are top three hair loss products and all are natural supplements. Provillus, Procerin and Advecia are the ones that are highly recommended. I hope I can get some sample products here so I can let my mom try it.
Out of the three, Provillus is the most recommended because of its effectivity. I see that both men and women can use it and results are expected to happen as fast as 90 days - that’s just three short months. It is a topical solution, meaning it is not to be ingested - that is something that is really encouraging. My mom is scared of anything that needs to taken orally.

I have always loved to write - hence the many blogs I have. Writing is a creative outlet and stress release for me. It helps that I have an English teacher for a mom and a voracious reader for a Dad. In fact, my talent for writing isnt even at par with the talent my sister who is really into research and journalism. Id like to explore and enhance this talent of mine. Id like to take additional course or enrol in a school mba - all this needs to be done online of course. And I just found out Capella University, a fully accredited online university recently opened this course! Capella University makes comprehensive online academic writing center available to the public. The online universityís Online Writing Center features multi-media modules aimed at graduate level students studying in a variety of disciplines.
Some other topics covered on Capellaís Online Writing Center include:
ï Annotated Bibliography Guide

Matthew got obsessed with learning different languages last summer. I blame it on the All Around the World DVD from Sesame Street, kids were singing in different languages, and the kid got hooked. There was one day that he kept asking how to say this word in Spanish or Portuguese and a sentence in French that I was tearing my hair out already! It is a good thing that one of my sisters know a little Spanish and would set him straight and teach him a few basic Spanish words to soothe his appetite for learning another language.
While I have no objections to my kids being multi-lingual, I also know that enrolling them in language classes is not really feasible given the facts that we are not exactly located in a convenient location within the city and that I am not mobile, meaning I have no car and do not even know how to drive.
That’s where the internet and the world wide web would come in. Thankfully, we have working computers that we can let the kid use and the internet to find a self-study program. You can learn Spanish online! At www.transparent.com, they have over 105 languages you can choose from to study and different levels of Learning Software to choose from! I like their BYKI level - which means “Before You Know It”! It’s the starter and most basic level. And from there you can choose the level of mastery you want to have. For each language they offer, you can see their product software available, its own blog where they feature basic words. For example, they can feature how to count from one to ten using that language! Then, they provide general information about the language, some survival phrase guides, and downloads. I feel like I really learned a thing or two just by going through their site. Of course, I really would prefer their Everywhere Audio software package where everything really is hands-free, you just listen! They even provide flash cards (electronically) for you to review words! If Matthew wants to learn Spanish, I really would like to learn to speak French!
The software is not entirely limited to self-help learning people. This can very much help people who have learned the language and wants to brush up on their word skills. Classes can even get their whole package learning software to aid in their teaching. This is totally a unique concept to learn languages.

My father is a doctor and he still needs help with prescribing medicines! Most especially since the law that mandates they prescribe generic names of the medicines they prescribe. That is why an online medical reference is really handy for doctors - they can refer to it wherever they are. In fact, most physicians with a PDA has a medical software by companies, such as Epocrates, Inc.installed with it. Epocrates medical reference software is now used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals. With the Epocrates’ drug guide loaded on their PDA or smartphone, clinicians can immediately access the information needed to make prescribing decisions – such as drug dosing, side effects and health plan coverage. It is a free medical Pocket PC, medical Palm and medical Windows mobile software. The company also recently launched a free drug reference for BlackBerry devices. Additionally, Epocrates is working with Apple to develop a downloadable drug guide for iPhone devices. Clinicians with an iPhone or iPod Touch can currently access Epocrates content by visiting m.epcorates.com on their Safari web browser.
This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

At this day and age, technology has expanded so much that a wealth of information is within your grasp with just a few clicks on the web. That is how powerful and informative the world wide web is. Can you imagine doing research in school or at work when there was still no internet? It must have been pure torture and such a hard job. Thanks to articles found online (and searching through search engines, of course), everything has been made easier and simplified.
There is a web site that specifically has articles of information about everything under the sun. It is a directory of web articles where you can refer to for information. The best thing about the site is it is FREE! Yes, they dont charge you for the information they give as they earn from Adsense. Plus, if you have a blog that needs content, you can also use their service because they have the freshest articles on the web. I like how their site is divided into categories too, and they still have a search button located conveniently on top of their web site.
Let’s see. For example, a non-geek like me would want to know more about how I can operate on a MAC. (I have always wanted to see if I can buy a MAC). I can just search for MAC related articles about how the MAC OSX system works. The articles one the site provide a lot of tutorials. If you need basic information and want to know about important updates about Microsoft Office, there is also a specific category for that.
Lest you think the site is all about programming and technology, they also have directory categories for arts and entertainments and education, travel and home and family. Customer service information can also be found there.
You can submit your articles too! Just make sure you read the guidelines listed. I think it will benefit you and the site as you can link to your blog article or post too!

The National Drink of Fiji, kava, has been grown fertile volcanic slopes of Kona’s Hualalai Mountain where climatic conditions and micro nutrient rich soil are famous for producing Hawaii’s most sought after coffee. The Hawaiian kava is very potent and suits the needs for long and pleasant ceremonies that are conducive to sociability and the telling of long stories. I love drinking coffee so I need to taste this, this has been recommended by most people who have tasted it so it must be good! It is a stimulant though so you better be careful in drinking large doses of it. Effects from Kava last about an hour, and more servings can be taken to expend the effects as long as one wishes, or to the maximum daily recommendation by the FDA. They use ROOTS ONLY from our Kava plants. They have 90% lateral roots and 10% underground, making Kava some of the most potent and safe available.

I used to dream of owning a house filled with books. When I was younger, had no kids and haven’t discovered the beauty of the internet and digital scrapbooking, all excess money was used in buying books. I love Judith McNaught! I have all the books she written. I also am a collector of nice self-help and self-improvement, inspirational books. The love of books has always been with the family. I have an aunt who has a house which book as walls - and I am not joking! Their house is lined with bookshelves from top to bottom! They buy wholesale from Booksale and did set-up a borrowing library at some point. However, they were not able to keep track of the borrowed items so a lot of books were lost and not returned that they had to stop. I wish I could have discovered the All My Books software and recommended it to them sooner. It is a very must-have software for those who have a very huge book collection and even for those who are just starting to collect books. What does it do? It actually is like a book of catalog but is done online - when you enter the book’s information (like the title and author), it will then search al internet book databases and will then automatically fill up everything for you, including the synopsis! Pretty cool, right? Plus you can get to have a feature that will easily locate books you own and if you ever want to try setting up a borrower system - you will never lose track of the ones you have borrowed! All My Books™ requires a PC with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista to run.

It seems one can never have too many collection. I discovered US Mint Coins at Cable Shopping Network and was amazed at the different kinds of coin sets I can collect. For your information, my paternal grandmother is such an avid coin collector. She has coins from the Spanish era and even has one from the Roman times (the misshaped coins way back in their times). It’s too bad her coin collection passes only to her sons, because she gives them to be used as arrhae when they get married. Can you imagine how valuable they can be? I better tell my grandma about the US Mint Coins, maybe she will be interested to buy

With all the packing we are doing, I was able to unearth stuff I used when I was in high school and college - I am such a pack rat (It was fun leafing through them too, but all the dust activated my rhinitis). I saw the thesis I made when I was in third year high school - I had a grade of 97%! And can you guess my topic? OBESITY
How apt that I read it now! It took me almost 6 months of research to be able to come up with valid points that obesity is a sickness and I remember how my classmates struggle with theirs. If they can actually buy term papers, they would have! With the advent of the internet and technology, now you can! With CustomWritings.com, you can get to purchase custom essays, research papers, thesis, speech, reviews and many more and have the guarantee that what you will be getting is unique content and not plagiarized writing. With over 490 qualified and highly-skilled writers, you will never go wrong. They have a service too called “write my essay“, proofreading and editing. They also have a money back guarantee option. If you are a writer and seeking work, go ahead and apply at their site too - www.customwritings.com!

A friend of mine recently wants to fulfill his long-time dream of becoming a chef. With that in mind, he has been looking for a chef chef school in the US. There is a list of culinary schools online which can help you search for a good culinary school for you faster. At Culinary School Finder, you can find a school by theme - for example, if you want French or Italian cooking, it narrow down your choices. You can also find a school by location. They have a list of featured schools as well and exciting careers in the offering.
