Archives for February, 2012

Currently

time: 7 minutes to 2PM
location: my workstation
eating: none. craving for some mean bananaQ though.
drinking: water. water check as of today: 2.5L. half way.
loving: my curls.
loathing: the blaring sun. thankfully it is not too hot for now.
wondering: if I will get paid tonight. i NEED the money!
wishing: I can finish all work for the week tonight.
creating: Project Life inserts – catching up on weeks 7&8
thinking: of the expenses in the upcoming months. me hopes I can hit some big pot of gold with every rainbow I see everyday (the Shrine has the most beautiful and frequent rainbows ever). other than that, i should just work harder, maybe even get into bundling already.

Happy Thoughts

1. Completing my cleanse in three days through juicing. Imma do it again, most probably!
2. Back to curls.
3. Meeting my college best buds again. Good times. Bitin.
4. Lent. It is a sad thought – the suffering to Jesus to save us, but what a happy thought – to know that Jesus loves me so much He was willing to die for me!
5. Lenten sacrifices.
6. Steady. Steady. Workload.
7. Edil + a promise of a new job. Bittersweet. But we are praying that we will be led to the right path about it.
8. Hammer got sold.
9. Mugen might just be around the corner by June. Megen might be here to stay for good though.
10. Very happy SUNDAY! Music Software with a variety of music was playing the whole day!

Marriage Sustains Your Love

Your love is your own private possession, but marriage is more than something personal — it is a status, an office. Just as it is the crown, and not merely the will to rule, that makes the king, so it is marriage, and not merely your love for each other, that joins you together in the sight of God and man. As you gave the ring to one another and have now received it a second time from the hand of the pastor, so love comes (not) from you, but marriage from above, from God. As high as God is above man, so high are the sanctity, the rights, and the promise of love. It is not your love that sustains the marriage, but from now on, the marriage that sustains your love. Turning 31.

So I turned 31 last week. I have on my list of to-do’s to document the 30 awesome things and moments like what is fast-becoming my most favorite blogger to date, Elise Baha, did.

But it is still a work in progress. I am determined to finish that one though, as I am going to include that in my Awesome 30 album.

When I turned 30 last year, I geared up myself to celebrating it big. I wanted it to be monumental. So when I was 29, I planned it endlessly. Only to be disappointed with myself that I didn’t reach my goals for 3-0. So I did a 30 things to do at 30 list. To be precise, I think I only managed to cross 5 out of the 30. Pathetic, I know.

So when I was fast approaching 31 a couple of weeks ago, I told myself I won’t do another 31 at 31 list. Don’t try to shoot for the moon, Aggie, I said. But I’m still doing it. Because those 5 I was able to do were more than enough for me to still keep on trying.

And the biggest challenge I give myself this year -

Hello 31.
Bring it on.

Love for Music

Love for music apparently runs deep in both sides of our family. My parents and siblings are good singers and two of them were in a band before. My husband’s side of the family are avid fans of the karaoke. Never will they miss a chance to sing everytime they get together – and they sing pretty well too! This is why I have been praying the my kids inherit their musicality, not mine. I cannot sing to save my life :) . So I was very happy to discover my eldest taking an interest to playing the guitar (he doesn’t need the ibanez de7 pedal yet though) and having a good singing voice! He sang when he joined a competition in school and many noted that his voice was pretty good!

In Demand Travel Nursing Jobs

Earning a nursing degree opens doors to a wide world of nursing employments and great income opportunities. There are endless job prospects for nurses even when you are a new nurse with limited experience under your belt, moreso when you are a nurse specialist already. One of the opportunities you need to take advantage of are travel nursing jobs. Travel nurses make a lot more money than traditional nursing jobs. It has grown into a large industry that has many different types of nursing disciplines. This continues to be a growing field and these types of nurses continue to grow in demand. There are so many travel nursing companies that can help you land great travel rn jobs!

Here are some of the specialties that are in demand:

Traveling is a type of nursing practice that encourages a highly mobile nurse professional that offers tremendous flexibility.

1. Scrub nurses in the OR

2. Ambulance/ER nurses

3. Dialysis unit nurses

4. ICU nurses

These are just a few of the common posts that travel nurses get in their assignments and as a common denominator, experience and exposure to these specific areas is vital for any traveling nurse that expects to get paid at a higher rate.

What an Awesome Week (Week 7)

  • Mom’s ONE LOVE concert
  • Agnes’ 25th birthday
  • Valentine’s Day
  • My 31st birthday
  • The kids’ Foundation Day celebration festivities at school
  • I am trying to take a swing back to blogging, as I have been trying to establish a system when it comes to me documenting Project Life, very much like the purpose of a reporting engine, my blog can keep tabs on what happens every week, very much like how I document Project Life.

    Let’s see how this goes.

    Some Spring Cleaning is Needed

It never fails. Each year, during this week, it gets crazy busy.

We have one and a million things to do, from the husband scheduling our car’s detailing, me scheduling my annual health check-up and the kids’ upcoming foundation day activities. Throw some errands for my parents, my workload that is the size of a mountain hill (not complaining though, we all need the money!) and the much due spring cleaning of our house and it really IS crazy.

We are expecting some visitors by next month so we are trying to make our home more welcoming – we need to change the bed linen of the kids’ room since our guests will be staying there, and we need to have the kitchen revamped and our backyard’s clothesline changed. This all spells expenses (huge ones) so we are thankful that we have work, even if it gets so overwhelming at times.
