Linggo ng Wika

I was excited for the kids’ Linggo ng Wika activity because their school doesn’t really celebrate anything that might require the kids to spend more than is necessary (no United Nations day with costumes, no Halloween trick or treating, etc) so when I received correspondence that the kids go to school one day in their Filipino costume, I was already planning what they will wear. It was a good thing we were able to borrow from my cousin something Marts could wear and Matthew had his bought from the local market. We didn’t spend a dime and the kids still looked as cute – and they were matching, which made the scrapbooker in me happy. Too bad I could not go to the school because parents weren’t exactly allowed, I would not even go past the exit signs but I heard that the kids danced and sang and played games.

Dress Rehearsal – the night before. Martha was excited to go to a party that she didn’t have to think it over that she was wearing a dress.

She woke up at 5AM saying Bendet (their bus driver) is here. She even finished her food, and was such in a happy mood that her Kuya was so irritated (Matthew is really a grump during mornings, it takes long for him to really get his blood flowing).
