I started my love affair with make-up at an early age. I remember when I was around five, nothing would fascinate me more than seeing my mom’s red lipsticks. At that time, I thought the red lipstick would look great everywhere – on the closets, floor and mirror – but my lips.
Fast forward when I was 15. I somehow learned how to apply make-up. I wasn’t a pro, but during college I never went to class without powder, lipstick and mascara. And the blush tints from The Body Shop. I would invest on them every three months.
When I had kids, somehow buying make-up was replaced trying to make sure the baby had milk every week. At work, I was more harassed to look good than anything and I was too tired, because I went straight from work to nursing duty. Up until now it seems I have forgotten to fix myself up but I still hoard make-up! Right now I have a lot of Clinique makeup, mostly freebies because I have the skincare Clinique products (I might have missed applying make-up but I still take care of my skin!). I order them online, and make sure I order from trusted sites which carry authentic brand products, like White’s East Hampton. They carry make-up and perfumes. My mom prefers Estee lauder makeup and Bobbi Brown while I prefer mineral make-up.
