I clearly remember when my husband worked as a sales representative for a pharmaceutical company. He resented it every Friday when he was required to wear the company’s uniform, which was the most hideous colors – lime green and eggplant (Yes, I kid you not!). It did not help that the uniform was very hot to the skin (I don’t think it was made of cotton.) My husband was fine with the idea of wearing a uniform, as it took away the pressure of having different business suits everyday. But that particular business uniform was just not his type (in truth, not my favorite either!), the colors were terrible and he was not comfortable in it. Sales people are required and expected to look presentable and at their best at all times. They represent the company they work for. My husband’s uniform was not only ugly, but it also wasn’t fit for the humid weather of this country. I told him he didn’t have a choice, that he had to put up with it, as a representative of his company, he was required to wear it.
