I am going to do some serious catching up with what is happening in our lives here in the mountains soon. I just looked over my March entries and I think I only have one entry that can fill in my relatives on what is happening with us. (No, we haven’t had the luk of purchasing the dream HDTV we are wanting for ages) Let’s hope this post makes up for it.

History:
I have been so inspired upon reading this post that I thought I should do one myself every month.

I haven’t been able to write a post for February but I was able to make a page – I just put the journaling directly over there.

Now, onwards to March:

*This was actually an April (3rd) photo but it was close to March so I’m counting towards March :)

What have we been doing?
It was the beginning and ending for my kids. We were able to experience our first swim for the summer (hence the swimming picture). It was also the start of new interests for us. We also welcomed a new addition to our family – Scamp, our dog (a half Pekinese Shitzhu breed). Never ever thought I’d permit a dog to roam around our house freely – that goes to show how much I love my kids!

Edil has been committed in going to the gym since the start of the year but I have never really thought he was after being healthy not until he decided to try (I say that word loosely) and stop smoking. I noticed he was smoking a pack a day at times he was at home and I am sure that he smokes more at work. I don’t nag him about it (It doesn’t work at everything so why bother trying?) but I was surprised that one day he told me he was going to buy an e-cigarette to help him quit. I am writing this a week into April and he was able to survive three weeks on  a stick of cigarette a day. I pray that this is it – smoking be gone from our family!

I, on the other hand, have been trying to live healthily – nope, not losing weight (yet) but I haven’t gained at all. I have been feeding my mind new information all month – I have read three books and even surprised myself when I looked up the latest news on nursing. Maybe I am ready to work once the kids are in school! I also received great news that a page I scrapped is going to be published in a book! Work has been fruitful and I am extremely thankful for the Big Guy for providing for us. My kids eat well and we are slowly able to buy things that we still need for the house.

Matthew finished third grade with flying colors! He was 5th overall among their batch and was awarded Best in English and Math during their Recognition Day. He is completely enamored with Scamp. And to be honest, I think Scamp loves him more than Martha :) He feeds, takes care after his poo and gives him a bath (complete with blowdry) everyday.

Martha on the other hand has passed her entrance examination for Nursery and I cannot help but feel nervous for my princess. Is she ready? (She better be – she is four already) Will she cope? Will I experience tears (She made a scene during her examination so you cannot expect me not to worry). She loves playing with Play-Doh and watches Land Before Time season episodes all day (We went back to dinosaurs, yes). She is completely a chatterbox at home but still clams up whenever we are out with people, even if it’s family. (Even with her Dad for crying out loud) I don’t know why she completely turned into Mommy’s girl all of a sudden. She wouldn’t hold hands with her Daed, she wants me to lie beside her at night not her Daed – when all of these things she wants Edil all the time. I don’t know if I am flattered, it is hard for me to concentrate on work when she comes out and hugs me and tells me, “Mooooom, gusto ko ikaw tabi me eh, hold my hand, lab mo ko.” And then I just have to lie beside her, and in no time, I’m sleeping as well!
