To say that last year’s holiday season was a blast could be my biggest understatment I have ever said. Christmas, for us, has arrived as early as October and despite the feeling that I was left out in so many activities because I cannot leave the kids, I was still as busy as a bee. I liked it!

image As with the tradition we started in 2008 when we moved to Amadeo, we attended the Simbang Gabi every night that was held at the Shrine. I am happy that we were able to complete it again, like last year. It was merrier since we had guests (who needn’t book accomodations like those of Toronto hotels because the Shrine was big (and more beautiful) enough for all of them) and food were sold in stalls along the courtyard. Decembers in Amadeo are chilly, windy and cold and I had a blast dressing up my kids, particularly Martha, every night *wink*. Thankfully, I was wiser last year than 2008 because she didn’t have an asthma attack, as I had her on Seretide once the weather got cold :) . The first few days of Simbang Gabi we also had basketball games as we were finishing a tournament then. So there were really a lot of people.

I leave you with our *only* family picture during Simbang Gabi (too bad it was blurry). Edil had word in Manila (graveyard shifts) so he was only able to attend a couple.
