And just like that October flew by.
Hello November.
November means we are just less than 60 days before Christmas – and that crunch time has started. It has become extremely cold where we are the past weeks, even for me, who loves cold weather. It has acted up or rhinitis (me and Matthew) and each morning is just torture for us to get ready to school. I am sneezing all the time I prepare Matthew’s cooking and Matthew always has the tendency to throw up (allergies do that to him). Just after trick or treating, Martha had colds (maybe because of her thin Cinderella costume, I should’ve have bought something under to keep her warm), so I am now being extra careful with her, giving her anti-asthma and expectorant medicines because as a mommy to an asthmatic kid, I have learned the hard way that prevention is still the best key! Once Martha has an attack, it is always harder to control – and recuperation takes so long.
So we are still OK, but on red alert
. I am trying to control their colds because we have a lot of parties to attend to this month – all of them in Manila – and I would hate to miss out on them because 1) I am sure my kids would love the parties and 2) I hate to miss out catching up on friends.
Our weekends are fully booked once again, but I’m not complaining. Like I’ve said, it is much better to have real offline activities than nothing. I don’t have much time to bum around online as I used to – but surprisingly I am not missing it, maybe because I am trying to live a little
Work has been piling up though so I need to manage my time more. Perfect timing too since I don’t have a maid so our house is a mess and laundry is piling up (we need to replace some of our Kohler faucets as well) and I am forced to cook everyday
.
Oh well, the small sacrifices moms do each day
