I have been out of shape since 2000. That is NINE long years – the first four years I was lucky enough to not feel any effects, at that time, I was still trying to lose weight and be healthy (and I lost 60 pounds back in 2003) but it all came sliding downhill after I got married and had baby # 2.
Now, after more than a year of staying at home, my health is at its worst. My stress levels are always high (because I get to be referree to my kids while I try to work) and my physical activity has been negative! At least when I was working I walked around Makati a lot.
An online friend recently turned out and became conscious of her health – it really is inspiring. She started running at their office’s gym twice a week two months ago and would you believe completed her first marathon last weekend? She even bought special athletic shoes for that. I am so proud of her and I am even inspired to try working out again.
I would need special shoes though because I am flat-footed. There is a type of Adidas shoes that is for flat-footed people – the Adidas Supernova Sequence. I might need to look for discount athletic shoes first though, as I am sure I need to stick to a certain budget.
Anyone care to buy me one?

My daughter became a girl overnight. One day she just became obsessed with Barbies, princesses and anything pink. She wants a necklace, a bracelet and in her language, “errings”.

She would, everyday, tell me that Santa will give her a wand, a crown and a princess gown this Christmas. When we are eating or I will be giving her a bath, she would always mention that “Mom, me want like Cinderella, like crown in my head, ipit buhok (in a bun like Cinderella).
It is quite amusing (and fun!) but I am somehow saddened because it is one proof that Martha is growing up right before my very eyes.
Here she is last October 14. She demanded she wear her princess dress (that’s the flower girl dress she had last March – masikip na pumutok ung zipper!). She even posed, promise I was so shocked!!!!
Her Cinderella Pose:

Cinderella holds her gown like that daw. She was watching Dinosaurs pa din while I was taking pictures. But when I told her, Martha, can you pose for Mom?, she did this:

And then I told her, OK, pose for me one last time, she RAWRed like a model, look!

When she was done being Cinderella, she fell down to the floor (our tiles are such a distraction, sorry, downside to renting):

I asked her, What are you doing Marts?
She answered: “Me Leeping Beauty Mom, wait!”

This weekend was our highlight for October. Bar none. I wish I was part of something bigger but that is something I was blessed enough to be part of before. I know I should have cherished it more. Now to work on getting the graces to my kids.
This week was all about God, + Family. Definite good times in my book.

That week was crazy busy – it took me this long to even blog about it (and yet I havent even blogged a decent entry – notice?) I have been busy with real life, doing a lot of tasks like searching for the policy of return of premium life insurance for the husband (he used to have insurance) and trying to organize our house, which of course, isn’t happening.

In pain – my tooth is acting up again so the killer headaches are here! I am drowning from painkillers. I need to take antibiotics and have an appointment with the dentist soon.
In work – Work has been piling because I am biting more than I can chew, admittedly. But I need to take advantage of everything - cash flow is sometimes short, but I have locked a considerable amount of savings with a friend. I am looking forward to finally having a savings account + some extra for low cost health insurance!
In real life events – too much in the agenda of everyday. I don’t have a maid so household chores (including the dreaded laundry) is now on top of my mountain load of to-do lists.
But I am drowning with newfound knowledge, blessings, love and care. Everyday I try to discover myself more, who really am I deep down, sans the parents, the kids, the husband, the accomplishments, the failures – at 28, I still have a lot to learn. I hope it won’t be too late when I know my true self.

The shirt says it all.
Papa ko si Mang Bading.
Edil’s parents arrived from the US after staying there for more than a year to visit (and perhaps stay here longer).
Papa arrived on the day of his 66th birthday.
And we threw him a surprise birthday party at the Harbor View Bistro along Seaside Blvd in Mall of Asia (The spicy crispy pork and leche flan was to die for!).
And trademark to the Avisos, we all had matching shirts (I wish we had matching Naot shoes as well) that say:
”Papa ko (si mang) Bading.”
”Bading ang (pangalan ng) tatay ko.”
”Proud ako sa Lolo kong (si Mang) Bading”
**Salvador is Papa’s real name. During his time in Bicol, Bading was very popular until it became the slang for gay people. He is called Buddy in the US
The kids sang and danced and it was fun night. I personally can feel Edil was so happy that his parents are now home, he hugged Ma tight when they were dancing.

He told me once if he can only accomplish half of what his Papa has accomplished, he will die a very happy man. And I told him, if Matthew will say that about him in the future, his mission was already accomplished.

Most of the time, during the day when the Big Brother is at school, I slave away in front of the computer. Martha usually just gets 3 hours of undivided me time with Mommy after lunch, after bathing and when we are about to take a nap. Sometimes she is quiet, doing her own thing. Sometimes she is demanding and clingy and would sit on my lap demanding to see Cinderella and Barbie (she saw me one time window shopping at the Disney Store and Amazon). I get so busy trying to maintain my online niches and designing corporate holiday cards (and albums) for clients that I take a break to find her in this hilarious getup:
She is wearing her Big Brother’s green glasses, pinned a birthday giveaway to her shirt and used an empty canister of ice cream to house her toys for the day – a scrapbooking ribbon spool, an empty case of iPod earphones, an empty case of bubble solution and broken pencils. Swear, di naman sya taong grasa

Martha (and Mommy) went gaga over the McDo Hello Kitty Happy Meals. We officially went gaga last week of August – and the promo was ending on September 20. Fortunately, Tita Glow sent Martha money for Happy Meals (Tita Glow is like a fulfillment center for all Martha needs!) – and Tita Peachy & Tito Gelo knows a McDo branch which had almost everything. We are missing 9 pieces – and if ever you read this and do not have plans of using them, we would be very happy if you donate them to us! LOL – 92. 99. 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009
She plays with the first thing every morning. Lining them up like that – it can be quite educational too, since I tell her to line them up straight, or have a wave. Or separate the pinks and reds.
Or she opens them up and groups them all together:
