Here are some updates on the little princess:

  • She recently fell in love with Diego. You know, the cousin of Dora? :) She would make sure to wake up at 7:30AM each day to watch 30 minutes of Go Diego Go. Then for the rest of the day, she would make sure the TV is on TV5 because she tells me “Go Diego Go next Mom” everytime. She clearly has no  concept of tomorrow yet.
  • She has learned a new song – “Mary had a Little Lamb”. However, she sings it like this, bulol tongue and all:

Mary had a little man
Little man, Little man
Mary had a little man
Her tit as white as no.

It really is as funny as hell. Imagine her playing with her toys while singing that. She sings that ALLLLL day…and then I hear her switch to Twinkle twinkle little star…..to the tune of Mary had a Little Lamb! LOL. Can you try singing it?

  • Thanks to my friend Joy, Martha has discovered the joys of Little Einsteins. It makes me so frustrated not to have cable still. Grrrr. She sings the intro whenever she goes wee wee, “Little Eye-n-Times!”
  • Martha is deathly scared of the dark. Whenever I turn off the lighting bulbs when we are about to sleep, !she screams and says, "Mom, open la light"
  • She still loves animals. When I am on the sofa, she would come to me with her book – and then point to animals saying “What’s this mom?” and when I tell her the correct answer, she says, “Correct” (pronounced as “Ke-rek”), sometimes with a “(Insert animal name here), right!” — Dora Dora there!

“Mom, what’s this?”
”Giraffe!”
"Di-raf, right!”

“This one what’s this Mom”
”Cow”
”Ke-rek Mom! You’re good!”

  • As it was raining the whole weekend, when we were out one time, I forgot the umbrella. I told Mato to get the umbrella and Martha being the ever present echo, said:

”Kuya Mato, get the umbrella! Hurry!”
which actually was pronounced like this:
”Tuya Mato, get the ambrela! HARRY!”
