Over lunch yesterday:

Matthew: “Mommy bakit walang pasok sa Friday?”
Mommy: “Labor Day anak.”
Matthew: “Ibig sabihin sa Friday lahat tyo maghihirap?”
Mommy: “Ano ka ba, nakalimutan mo na Sibika mo, Araw ng Manggagawa un.”
Matthew: “Ah ganun ba?”

After a few minutes:
Matthew: “Mommy ang mga Overseas Workers ba libre ang plane tickets nila?”
Mommy: “Hindi.”
Matthew: “Paano sila nakakapunta sa Saudi?”
Mommy: “Nagaapply muna sila sa recruitment agency.”
Matthew: “Ano ung recruitment agency? Si Manny Villar?”

I laughed so hard I had to tell it to Edil when he came home. Matthew was beside me and he got pikon and made hirit:

”At least marunong pa din ako magdivision.”
Oo nga naman, magaling naman sya sa Math.

Hahahahaha!

After dinner, we decided to turn off the TV because it has been on the whole day so the kids and I were talking:

Mommy: “Marts, lapit na birthday mo!”
Martha: (automatic na) “Mee 9”
Mommy: "Say May Marts”
Martha: “May”
Mommy: “Ok, May 9”
Martha: “Mee 9”

Mommy: “Do you want to go to school in Kuya’s school?”
Martha: “Oh yes Mom, go playground!” (She remembers the school’s playground)
Mommy: “Ok, say Caburlotto (school)”
Martha: “Taba-lotto!”
Mommy: (baka me interview eh) “OK do you know the alphabet?”
Martha: “Yes.”
Mommy: “Can you sing it for me?”
Martha: “No, I don’t like.”

Mataray.

Mommy: “Ok, when you see Sister (the madre who runs Mato’s school) what will you say?”
Martha: “Hi!” (sabay kaway!)
Mommy: “No you say Good morning!”
Martha: “Di pwede Mom, evening na eh”

Oo nga naman.

I’m trying really really hard to update personally but things get in the way, whether it be useful or useless . People who matter are updated with our life anyway but just because:

• I’m addicted to watching Pinoy movies. It is all because of John Lloyd. Oh boy, have I eaten my words . Finally, I can relate to the lines, “Powerhug” and “Bebe Ko.” And for the record, a crier that I am, I so got affected with “One More Chance.” Hehehe.
• I’ve been loading up my iPod with all kinds of songs. I’ve got to thank my Bebot friends for the influence.
• I’ve discovered that YouTube, can be Google in many many ways. I’m still scared to download Limewire and Torrent on my G, so I’ve been listening to music there. I’ve also bookmarked the dance scenes on Step 1 and 2, Dirty Dancing 2 (Havana Nights), Dance with Me, Honey and Shall We Dance.
• We are all barking like a dog in the house – save for Matthew. Martha’s cough is going on for two weeks already. Time to see a doctor.
• Our house has been a comedy of errors lately – our things in the house are dying one by one – the bed, the TV rack, the rice cooker and just last Saturday, our washing machine. I did laundry by hand – and now I have proof that I got to be martyr for once, because I won’t be doing it ever again (napasubo lang ako kasi nakababad na silang lahat – and Im not joking ang dami dami nila – one week’s worth of laundry!)
• I personally get depressed when Mr Sun hides away from me for more than two days. When I was young, I love rain and storms because it meant no classes. Now, it makes me scared because crazy weather is surely a sign of the times. So what do I do? Eat, thus the need for a good and effective diet pill!
• I’ve been pretty good in putting make-up everytime we go out. Bad news is that we haven’t been out in weeks
• Half of the summer is done and I don’t think we’ve ever done anything to entertain the kids. Wawa naman si Mato.
• The princess’ birthday is in two weeks – no concrete plans but we might go with the husband’s brother to Zambales for the Mother’s Day Weekend. Let’s see if Martha’s health holds up. As Glo puts it, Made in China ang baga ng anak ko eh. Bwiset.
• One month without a maid. Our marriage is truly tested Bwahahahhaha.

Though I will never be able to wear shoes that high (I’m overweight, tall and have a bad back), I’m sure there are many women who are all over these shoes and would buy them in a heartbeat! Petite women will be all over these for sure.

I have size 11 feet and 5’7” tall so it might be awkward for me to get into these shoes. That and the fact that I’m overweight and that my husband would not come anywhere near me are factors too.

I have a friend who is 4’11′” though and LOVES these shoes – she is really a little explosive firecracker, the life of the party AND has a boyfriend who is a six-footer! Imagine that! I actually remember her wearing this to a party before:

She was wearing that with white jeans and a red top and you sure can imagine how men were eyeing her all over the party. I call her my little firecracker because even if she is petite, she really lights up and shines with every party she attends.

I’m a shoe lover and I once told a friend this, if I had size 6 or 7 feet, I can give Imelda Marcos a run for her..shoes

This post is inspired by Kathy . I saw her new pictures yesterday when she went out shopping and she was donning a white belt over untucked shirts – a true fashionista

I saw this Viktor & Rolf belt over at StyleHive.com and immediately thought of her. It is a textured white patent belt, perfect for cinching in voluminous cardigans and adding shape to dresses! So true! Now if only they had one in my size

I can see white belts over yellow or big floral patterned dresses with sexy sandals over summer! If summer will really come – it has been raining everyday!

Nevertheless, a woman always tries to look her best even in the greyest days and these days, I need to wear something bright and summer-y or else I will really be depressed. I miss the sun – not the heat, but the sunshine.

Onto more nice thoughts, we are waiting for Alpha’s box anything this week and next and then we can finally meet up again . I actually do not have anything in that box save for the 2 500GB external hard drives I bought on sale at Circuit City. But there are little things for me and the little girl (who will be celebrating her birthday in two weeks!) from Glo. One of them is the while Aldo slip-on shoes Glo bought for me as a gift Now that white shoes will have a serious work-out when it arrives especially if Mr.Sun decides to show his face and give us some sunshine!

According to weather stations, we are currently experiencing “highly abnormal weather conditions”. What is supposed to be the hottest month of the year is turning out to be a month of grey skies and afternoon thunderstorms. I actually believe that it has been raining everyday since April began. And that is depressing.

We have been planning to go swimming somewhere as a family and all plans are pushed back or delayed (hopefully not cancelled) indefinitely until we experience some sunshine.

We are pushing through with a family outing with fellow mommy bloggers and their families on the 16th of May. I really pray that there will be some nice weather so the kids can finally swim, the mommies can relax and have fun and we can take some nice pictures. I was actually twittering with fellow mommies last night, and all of us were already planning what to wear. I need to get some body swimsuits for the kids because I’m sure the winds will be colder towards the afternoon. As for me, I do not plan to swim so I’ll just be in my capris and a nice shirt. There is this  Infinity Kosmus necklace that I am dying to show to a friend though. I saw it at StyleHive.com and I am sure she will like it because she like eccentric and unique pieces. This ecological necklace made of postcards / flyers and black silicone thread is a perfect accent for a beach cover-up, a summer dress or a great bikini!
