We still haven’t gone to our respective primary care physicians. We usually do it on the last month or the first month of the year. Since December was super crazy busy, we didn’t have the time (and the funds) to drive all the way to Manila to get ourselves checked up. There are four of us remember, and no HMO. Scary. Plus our kids need specialists – Martha needs a pulmonologist for her asthma and Matthew needs an EENT for his sinus problems. I need to get myself some blood tests too and consult with my OB (reproductive women need to do this – hear hear! – EVERY year).

We decided to just prioritize dental and eye health this month and go to the next urgent care option the following month. We all need to have our teeth cleaned and fillings repaired (me and Edil). Then the most important thing would be our eye check-up. Edil has had eye problems (he can’t see far enough) ever since we were dating but never had glasses and Matthew’s left eye has been squinting more often than not lately. I also need to have mine checked but I know mine will only be eyestrain. I have been careful with my eyes ever since I got the 20/20 vision right back.

I read about the amazing action of pinhole eyeglasses though. It looks a bit weird when you first look at it but I swear they have an amazing action which benefits the eyes. It is ideal for sufferers of refractive eye disorders, the elderly and computer users (like me!) as the pinholes – accurately formed by laser technology – allow only direct and coherent light rays to pass through into the eye.

image Im not joking it really has holes! Also known as stenopeic glasses ,pinhole glasses  allows the a very narrow beam of light to pass through – allowing only direct light to pass through. Those that have tried pinhole glasses claim that they are very effective and even go as far as claim they are equal in performance with their prescription glasses.

Can you imagine me donning these late at night when Im working?

Im willing to try :)
