Kids Say the Funniest Things

Last Saturday I was having the time of my life laughing the comments on the pictures Litzie posted on her Flickr account – if you have heard my laughter, you’d know why people tell that my laughter is infectious (and scandalous).

So I was laughing and then Edil comments:
”Mato, yung Mommy mo naloloka na.”

Matthew deadpan answers back:
”Nag MMSG yan dati eh.”

**MSG is really dangerous to people. My grandma suffered from Alzheimer’s and the doctors said too much MSG (betsin) intake has been clinically proven to alter some mental schtuff. Anyways, my Mom would always forbid us to eat anything with betsin and when Mato asked why, my Mom would say, “Nakakaloka yun Mato.”

Weeks ago, Edil was in bed lying down and I went inside the room and closed the door. We didnt plan to do anything since it was 3PM and the kids were wide awake when Matthew knocked the door open and said:

”Wag nyo isara ung door baka mag-sex kayo.”

I was shocked and asked, “Ano sabi mo?”
He turned his back on me and dineadma na ako. LOL. Now I know at 8 he might know some things already but I was really surprised he can tell me directly about it. I tried bringing it up with him but he wouldn’t let me.

My Mom saw him watching Ben Stiller’s Heartbreak Kid last Friday and there was a scene where it involved you know what.

Matthew looked up and told my Mom:
”Lola, nasasaktan na ung babae o. Kawawa.”

My Mom then told Matthew na iba na lang panuorin.

Matthew asked why.
Sabi ng Lola:

”Well, it’s bad e.”

OMGosh, my mom is worse than I am LOL.
Normally, Edil and I would just say he is too young for the movie and he’d understand.
We dare not say sex is bad. We all know when they get to be puberty, all things labelled BAD by parents are the exact things they do :D
