…because I dont want to be like the rest of the world going crazy over Twilight.

But I am. I am crazy about Twilight. :D

Edil looked after the kids last Sunday so I can go watch the movie with friends Joy and Kelly in Makati. Think about all the planning that outing involved with me living 3 hrs away from the city :D (Heehee) – but that deserves another post.

I love love love love Twilight. I love the complexities they have on love and family and how selfless it can be when it is true. I love the dialogue. I love the characters. I fell in love with Cullen family. I love Edward Cullen (who wouldnt? LOL)

In fact, I finished the books (Book 1-4) in 3 days. Well make it 2 and a half. So though I was like a walking zombie..ehem..vampire afterwards with coffee as my blood, it was really worth it. It helped that I watched the movie before reading Books 2-4 because it was easier for me to see them. And conversing via email with Joy and Kelly about it was more exciting, we were like teenagers majorly crushing on a hot star. Ehem. We also were like discussing important issues you know..how Edward was rock hard solid and how Bella can be so torn between Jacob and Edward e yun pala……(spoiler).

Anyway, about the movie…spoilers are ahead so dont read if you havent watched it.

The movie kinda sucked. In a way that the most important parts in the book I was looking forward at the movie was deleted, changed or condensed (the meadow scene, the conversation at the car when he first admitted he was a vampire, and the way Edward sucked James’ venom from Bella – he was able to control it himself and Carlisle didnt stop him)

BUT BUT BUT:
1. Id give credit to the casting. Ooooh lalala. Love them all. Jacob could be taller but after reading Books 2-4 I can totally imagine him being Jacob. Robert P was perfect for Edward. He really is hot in the movie.

But I love the Cullen family the best. Grabe.

2. Favorite scenes in the movie:

  • When the Cullen family appeared for the first time the cafeteria. The whoosh whoosh and gracefullness I read in the book was really there. COOOL.
  • The Baseball Game
  • James. James. James. He was good.
  • The Prom.
  • The scenes where Edward took her up the trees LOL
  • The scenes at the Cullen home.
  • When Edward and Bella were an item already and they went to school with Edward donning shades! WOOOOOAH hotness.

  • But most of the all, the hot kissing scene in Bella’s bedroom:

The sexual tension was there all throughout the movie (and the books I might add), I was always screaming like a banshee when things progressed and then stopped and then started and then stopped. BWAAAH! So frustrating.

I love Twilight.
Really loved it.

I sooo loved twilight too Aggie! And I couldn’t agree with you more. Rob P is HOT!

I was also disappointed in the movie but I keep reminding myself it was an adaptation and a budget movie at that. hahaha! Sabi nila you have to watch it daw a second time to enjoy it esp. if you’ve already read the book hahah! But yeah the casting was really cool!

Loved the pics you posted here too Aggie! :)

omg, I’m so happy you love Twilight, I have someone else I can gush to about Edward, Bella, and the rest of them sparkly vampires! I LOVED the movie, but of course it has its weaknesses and some I could live with, others I couldn’t but what the hey it’s an amazing film just the same. I’m still on my Twilight high, obviously, lol.

Actually another scene I love: When he talks to her for the first time in Biology with the whole microscope thing **kiliiiiiig**

(and I really should blog about it, among other things, but I’m just so tamad)
