I am grateful.
- I have always believed I live a charmed life. Privileged. Lucky. Blessed. It holds true today more than ever. I maybe lacking in material things but I have the best family, and I have developed this really amazing outlook that being happy is really a choice to BE HAPPY. Life may suck or not go way with what you have planned, but you will always have something that you can be HAPPY for. Choose to be happy.
- I have this privilege since I was born that sadly, I have been taking for granted. It is my fervent prayer I get to able to get back to it soon. I need to pray more.
- I am grateful for my husband. Life has never been the same the night I saw him 14 years ago. At the risk of sounding so gushy, I *just* knew he was going to be special. Of course I never knew he was the one. He has taught me what commitment really means and teaches me how to really love without condition. It is still a work in progress, but hey baby, we are so in this marriage together. As we have always agreed, “We will always make this work.”
- I am grateful for my kids. People always say I have always been driven. But what they dont know is that I have been an underachiever all my life. With my kids, I aim higher, dream more and act on it faster. They have changed my life. And I would not have it any other way, when I had my firstborn at 19. I knew it then, I know it now, He gave me my son to be able to save me.
- I am grateful for being able to know an amazing person who loves me. She is far, I may not be able to talk to her but she has always been there without me knowing I need her. Thanks Ate. I love you.
- I am indebted to my parents. We never stop needing them you know and even as a parent myself, I am so lost without them. My only dream is to be able to give them a comfortable life before they go.
- I am grateful for the people here who have made our lives easier. Seldom do we find people who work without expecting money in return or those who really have genuine care. Thank you.
- I am grateful for discovering blogging. It has made me introspective, made me know myself better, opened a new world for me, made me earn so much more than I have ever dreamed and gave me real friends.
- I am grateful for discovering scrapbooking.
- And I am grateful for YOU. You who read my blog, who never fails to cheer for me, cry with me and just root for me. You dont comment, but I have let you peek into my life and what goes on in my little head. Thank you. For not judging, for believing, for continuing to read.
Here’s to writing more little snippets for you to enjoy.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Jen couldnt have said it any better.
To love is a choice.
I’m only now understanding and accepting this. And it’s made all the difference in the world.

Today was a very tiring day. I had a lot of to-do’s in my list that didnt get accomplished because I wasnt even able to accomplish my very first list in the to-do list: Get Matthew to school. When the red flag is up, everything goes wacko and so it did. I did, however, accomplish so many things afterwards: Do groceries (with two kids who always fight in tow), pay water and electricity bills, draft next week’s menu (and set aside money for market tomorrow) and set aside money for Matthew’s expenses at school. We also have a leaky faucet we need to take care of.

It is the time of the year again – last month of the year. We always have the habit of undergoing a personal thorough medical check-up during December to make sure we are healthy enough the start the new year right. I still need to have the kids scheduled for their vaccinations and X-rays. We all need to go to the dentist as well. I might as well convince Edil to have himself checked too – he has never taken advantage of his HMO – he might have gout for all we know and we would not have noticed!
One must always be at the best of health!
He is a medical representative and they are trying to get the doctors get themselves involved with Epocrates.Epocrates Online product provides clinicians with rapid access to practical, evidence-based content and has recently introduced a web-based application. I’m sure it will be a hit with the doctors.

(Notice I cant stop talking about it – two posts in a row!)
I have been thinking it’s time to let the idea of Santa die down. Matthew is turning eight and believe Santa is FOR REAL that I fear he might be teased when he tells his age group buddies what Santa got for him. What I want to tell him about though is the spirit of Santa – and how it is better for them to give than to receive this season. That would mean Martha would grow up not believing in Santa, but we can always talk to Matthew to keep it “real” for his little sister for a few years.
Speaking of Santa’s gifts, I think we have everything covered. Matthew will get around 5 out of his 20 wish lists (some of them were completely ridiculous) and Martha will get 5 out of the 20 things Matthew wrote for her
. Martha is a simple girl, give her anything Dora and anything about cooking or make-up and see her face light up.
If you give here these, it would better though!
The ones you see are Dora and Cinderella toys (she is most crazy about that Disney Princess). All of these are MEGA brand toys which I even had when I was a kid (Matthew even got them as presents before and they are the only toys that remained 8 years later). Consider getting the toys from MEGA brand before anything else.

Let the countdown begin!
It’s only 30 days before Christmas!!
Not once, in my 27 years of existence, have I NOT looked forward to the holidays.
Que se hodang walang pera, go pa din
Christmas always makes me remember good food, love, good chilly weather and most of all, just happy people talking and laughing. I belong to a family who values holidays, have traditions and really love each other even if we dont have a choice but be relatives
.
So yes, Im officially excited about Christmas! I want to put up a tree, get some lights, buy a parol and the works but I cant seem to make up my mind what to do first
For one, I cant decide the colors on the ornaments for our tree. It’s going to be our first tree in a house of our own so I better make sure it can still look good and the ornaments recycl-able in the years to come. I want to have lights and yes, excited ako magsabit ng parol at wreath sa labas ng bahay namin kasi sa Becerra baka nakawin lang ng mga tao kaya di kami nagsasabit sa labas, hahaha!
I need to wait for Edil to come home so we can do it together. Syempre, kelangan ng picture picture nyan eh. I need to throw stuff away first. Our bookshelves needs dusting and some rearranging too.
Yun muna ang dapat maayos dito sa bahay namin.
Hope you are having a great day!
