So where did I get dengue?
I have already blogged about how much I hate bugs in my Winding Creek Circle blog (a blog about provincial life).

Apparently I got it from our new house because our dirty kitchen which adjoins our sink (where I do the dishes) and our bathroom was not screened in yet. (It is now screened in and it is hot as hell!)

The day I was diagnosed with dengue, we were worried with Martha because she had fever as well (and as Ive told you guys, we are always together 24/7 so the pesky mosquito might have bitten my princess as well).

We tried to keep Martha home and just observe but my Mom insisted we confine her as well.

Which yielded to another two days at the hospital. Her platelets were 199 but her WBC were a bit high (a sign of infection) so she was kept for 24 hrs for observation. As Ive already blogged about Martha’s confinement at UST before, mahirap sya lagyan ng IV. Promise. Super hirap na ung resident pa ung sumuko sa kanya, naiyak sa hirap.

But she was OK during the two days we were there. The first day magkasama pa kami sa kwarto, parehong nakaIV :D

On the way home, I was still a bit loopy because 50 pa din ang platelets ko pero at least nagugutom na ako so sabi ng doctor pwede na daw ako umalis (sayang daw at tataba na uli ako hahahah).

So I got home massages again and have been crashing at my parents’ place for the past two weeks. Overstaying na kami dito, ayaw na ng mga anak ko umuwi LOL :D
