…on a Saturday.
Im just waiting for Edil to finish taking a bath so we can go to the grocery. Im too lazy to cook so I might just use my charm and let Edil take us to Mahogany for some bulalo (cheap but tastes better than Leslie’s). I’ll ask my Dad too as my Mom is in Manila.
I have so many things to do, blog and scrap wise and I need to make a list of it. The kasipagan of fellow mommy bloggers is contagious so kunwari nagsisipag sipagan din ako
Hehehe.
And since I love lists

3. Finish putting away clothes for ukay.
4. Nag Edil to arrange our treasure of DVDs

I have proven that we might be needing another desktop computer or laptop soon. Yes, we are a family of four with two kids below ten and we have one desktop computer and a laptop – and we still need one more. I think that classifies us under the family of geeks.
However, it is simply not within our means to be able to get one so soon so I might as well get into wishful thinking and join the Charter Laptop-a-Day Giveaway contest. I wish I can though.
For those in the US, this is a fantastic deal that allows you to get a chance to win this laptop:
New HP Compaq Presario C770US Notebook Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor 15.4″ WXGA Screen 2GB RAM -160GB hard drive DVD Burner Built in Wi-Fi and Ethernet Plus a NEOtec Laptop Backpack!
All you need to do is sign up for one of the three Charter Communications services being offered: Charter High-Speed® Internet at $19.99/mo for 6 months, Charter Digital Home™ and High-Speed Internet at $69.98/mo for 6 months or Charter Digital Home™, High-Speed Internet, and Charter Telephone® at $99.97/mo. for 12 months. After purchase, the buyer will be sent a Free Shell gas gift card and is automatically entered to win 1 of 30 HP Compaq Presario C770US Laptops.
Is that a great deal or what?
You get high speed internet, a chance to win a laptop (30 laptops will be given away for 30 days) and you get a gas card free!!

I spent half of the day on the road because we went to the Martha’s pulmonologist for a 15-minute consultation which cost us 500 pesos (I so miss Maxicare). Good news is that there is nothing really alarming with Martha’s cough – in fact, she has gained 6kilos since March (can you believe it?) and she is now cleared from Primary Complex. There were clear breath sounds so the pediatrician assured me I’m doing the right thing on managing the princess’ asthma but told me to not stop medicating when symptoms go away. We need to treat for five days all the time.
We are looking into malabsorption regarding Martha’s frequent poo’s. She told me she doubted it is bacterial in nature and diagnosed lactose intolerance so we are stopping Nido for a while and switching to lactose free milk for two weeks. We are going to be taking probiotics and she needs a stool exam too.
All is well though. I cannot believe how hot, toxic, traffic and busy Manila is.
Probinsyana na ata talaga ako.

All those talk about Spain made me want to get more information about its key cities. Aside from Madrid, there is Barcelona, a city one shouldnt miss visiting when in Spain. There are Barcelona hotels you can book at Destinia.com, a Spanish travel online agency which recently opened their site to the English language. Now foreigners can really look for hotels without being ripped off when they book one in Spain. There are really
cheap hotels in Barcelona, you just have to know where to look and find them.
If you want to maximize sight-seeing, Barcelona is the place to go. It is a city full of culture and history, especially when it comes t architecture. The famous and fabulous work of Antonio Gaudi can be seen along Passieg De Gracia where you will find La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Nothing beats his unfinished work of the Sagrada Familia temple though. Culture-speaking, one must go to the MACBA (museum of modern art)! You will need transport and the city offers a Barcelona card, which gives you a discount and travel pass among the city’s top attractions. (Every city should have this – it will surely boost up their tourism).
If you will bring kids, you need to go to the Zoo in Parc Ciutadella, or Poble Espanyol. It is a village which has a lot of craft shops. There is also a cable car that runs from Barceloneta beach over to Montjuic, which has a fountain that can be a music and light extravaganza at night.
