Im extending the AWK3: Halfway There entries up until Wednesday this week as I understand it would take longer than usual for us to do a round up. So far, there have been 11 ladies who have joined (Please leave me a comment if you did as I sometimes forget the pings to my blog with this topic – hindi ko kayo nasasali). Thanks ladies. Ill get around to commenting within this week, but Ive read all them already (Lagi lang akong read ng read, Hehehe).
Archives for July, 2008
(July 20-27)
Im getting so bad at taking pictures lately. It doesnt help that it is always raining (so hard, I might add) lately. Days are always blah and grey.
The only highlight of the week was cutting Martha’s hair and Edil approving it (She looked cute but extremely naughty daw). I guess lalo na kaming di pupunta sa Cuts for Tots nyan
(Hehehe)
We have been experiencing loooooong brownouts lately. One started at 6AM and ended at 5PM. It’s a good thing my Mom is just a ride away I got to bum and talk with her all those hours. Plus hindi naman mainit so taking care of the princess wasnt a problem.
We were also busy with construction of the secret Im keeping. Nope, it’s not a business nor our own house (I wish it was). You will find out soon. I will be busy with everything this week plus our router broke so Im stuck at one place again (lesson learned – invest na talaga on a Linksys. LOL).
Blogging wise, I think there is always a commotion every time Google updates PRs. I was hit, but as always, couldnt care less. Im proud to say I earn while blogging ~ it feeds my family and lets me stay home. How big or small isnt going to matter anymore ~ I just pray it will always be enough. So far, so good.
Lugi ako dito Toni! LOL!

My Mom’s Shoe Size: 7.5
Sisters’ Shoe Sizes: 7.5 and 8
My Shoe Size: 11!!!
Suffice to say, I cant share with them. I used to be a 9 when I was in college, 10 when I had Matthew, and 11 with Martha. Haaaay, barko ang paa ko. I miss my lovely feet LOL

This was my last shoe purchase way back February
These were bought from Old Navy ~ Women’s Suede-Trim Canvas Skimmers (I got this for only $18 I believe) – they make my feet look sexy
Now since I need to tag 11 people (same as my shoe size), Im tagging:
Apols, Abie, Apple, Jacqui, Jody, Joy, Jane, Jacqui, Peachy, Mich, Kelly, Thea.
Gawin ko ng 12 para kumpleto
Lest you think about an animal, Im talking about shoes. I discovered Blowfish Shoes
while randomly surfing the web and window-shopping (That’s the only type of shopping Im doing these days). Im a size 11 so I NEVER even attempt to shop at shoe stores here, Ill just have my heart broken
. So I just windowshop online and if I have extra money, I get to have friends and cousins shop for me abroad.
I found two that I like already: Blowfish La Villa (the sandals) and Blowfish Swoop. I love the sandals being offered in the Blowfish Women’s Shoes section, they look sturdy and make feet sexy (I have mastered the art of knowing which styles will look good on my wide feet!).
Blowfish Men’s Shoes are available too. Their styles are trendy and funky without compromising quality. Their designers are doing a good job!
Thanks Em!

TODAY, I:
1. It’s only 6:43AM and I woke up at 4:30AM so I havent really done much
2. I have crossed off and written almost 80% of tasks which are expiring.
3. I have answered e-mails, checked PayPal balance and computed how much pay I will get this Friday. (Hahahaha!)
4. This will be a very busy day. I let my maids go today. It is much better off without them even if it is harder. (Masakit sa ulo ang lagi kang naiirita – I dont want to be such a bad person kaya nilalayo ko na ang mga bagay na pagkakasalaan ko pa
). Sorry, I really have no patience when it comes to people who are dramatic, nil and what have you.
5. I have finished 750ml of water today. Can you imagine how much Coke I can consume before (Ill answer: 3×1.5L a day! Que horror no?) Im averaging around 4L of water everyday now. And….
6. Weighed myself and lost 4lbs. from last week. Water really curbed my appetite and those walks helped me boost my metabolism. Im guessing I will gain this week as those 4lbs might just be fluid loss. But with water curbing my appetite, I think Im doing great
Tagging Abie, Jody, Peachy, Kathy!
I never got into the habit of watching news or even social programs on TV because those types of news make me really depressed. Sometimes, I cant even sleep at night. Ever since becoming a mother, I have had such a soft spot for kids and babies and plights of the underprivileged. It is so hard to believe that there are families who really can’t eat three times day. If times are hard for people like us (who receive pay and have a roof over our heads), how about them?
Have you seen the government hospitals we have? People die, not because of ill-equipped doctors, because the hospital isnt equipped with machines to sustain life. People dont have money to give and pay. We have the most brilliant healthcare professionals in the country and I understand how frustrating this can be for them. I was thinking maybe people should know about second hand machine equipments. Used Ultrasound machines (for all types) can be bought online – the National Ultrasound supplies new and reconditioned used machines. They buy, consign and sell reconditioned used ultrasounds. We are a dealer of reconditioned Siemens/Acuson, GE, Philips ATL/HP, Medison, Aloka, Sonosite, Sonoscape, Mindray & Biosound ultrasounds. Prices maybe cheaper so our hospitals stand a chance of getting one.
Can you guess what is new with Martha this week?
Yep. She got a haircut! I DID IT! HAHAHA!
I got fed up with Martha’s head – so asim and sweaty all the time (Trust me, maasim agad an hour after we take a bath).
So I cut her hair while she was on the shower. She didnt mind because I told her she will look pretty. Plus she got to play with bubbles longer so tahimik sya.
When we dried her hair, di sya pantay. Pero keri na. I told myself it’s about half an inch shorter so lighter on the head.
I got gutsier and cut her bangs when she took the night shower. Ayan ang labas. She looks adorable though. Pero mukha syang toughie girl I swear.
Plus pala, I found out she really isnt hiyang to J&J products (J&J baby kami and si Matthew eh) – I switched her to VCO (ung antibacterial) and she smells good na. Even the liquid powder is good for her asthma.
I just need new recos what to use as pee wash. Any suggestions?
I love making travel plans, even if at time one would think it’s a waste of time. One of the cities in the world Id like to get to is Barcelona. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia, a region in Spain. It seems August will be a good month to travel to Barcelona, as most people go on vacation, the streets are quieter and businesses tend to lower their prices ~ Im all for getting it cheaper. Personally though, Id prefer to book Barcelona holiday apartments than hotels. It is cheaper and more private and generally better if you are with a large group of people.
I looked at the Barcelona Tourism website, and saw that Festes de Gràcia is celebrated every 15th of August. It is one of the most important festivities in Barcelona, among the food holidays in Catalonia.
Even if Barcelona is known for its great night activities, one should not forget how rich their culture and architecture is. It is great to bring your family for a little dose of culture enrichment. Family friendly apartments in Spain are always available.
Ive done my research and it seems that Viator can book my tours and I can book my travel plans with Expedia!
