Going Hybrid
Posted on Jul 24, 2008 under News |You know what’s hot and in these days? Hybrid Cars. Yep, going hybrid is the best and smartest thing to do amidst the global oil crisis we are currently facing. I have heard in the news that there are families selling their cars (SUVS mostly) because they simply cannot afford to fuel it up and go places. Many have traded their unleaded-driven cars to diesel-run ones. Most taxi cabs use the LPG device to run mileage on. But using hybrid cars are going to be the future mode of transport for tomorrow.
Basically, a hybrid car is a vehicle that has two engines: a gas engine and an electric engine. Today, there are newer models of hybrid cars - but nothing beats the popularity of the Toyota Prius. These days, however, it is easier to find hybrid cars - and I predict this will be the car for 2009.
And why wouldnt you go hybrid? You’ll spend less on gas, help the environment, lessen dependence on foreign oil imports and if in the US, be eligible for tax credits! It doesnt necessarily mean that by using an electric engine you need to be plugged in - just use hybrid car batteries, it’s just charging a battery!

That’s true that it saves on gas, but a hybrid is so expensive. I wish I could afford one though, ’cause gas prices are getting ridiculous.
