I have to admit that when I was growin up, I find people who advocate environmental issues very annoying. Why do people overreact over issues like these? I thought that trees always would grow anyways. Not until I became a mom. I grew a strong sense of fear for my child’s future, especially with the all news about natural calamities. People are saying it is nature’s wrath and what is frightening is that we really could not do anything to stop it.
However, we can do something to prevent it. With the growing boom of people and the demand being bigger that our supply, eventually our environment will be really stripped. Support eco products. There is a site called GreenandMore.com that offers these kinds of products. Not only do they sell eco-friendly products, but ther on site locations (production wise) follows green practices. There is no plasticware on site, there use recycled office supplies and kitchen goods, 100% recycled cardboard boxes. They use energy saving appliances as well. They are very supportive of fellow ennvironmental charities like Oceana and Healthy Child Healthy World. They try to extend what they know by establishing a learning center with top notch information from sources like the EPA and US Dept. of Energy. They even keep a staff blog called “GreenMusings” where employees share their environmental “going green” photos and stories.
