Eight Things About Martha

IMG_6122 So many people tagged me with this one: Alpha, Toni, Mec, Nice, etc. Im sorry if I forgot your name. If you tagged me with this one, let me know in the comments, Ill edit this post for you :)

1. Martha is really a princess. Princess = Brat. Spoiled. I know this is because she is under the tender loving permissive spoiling care of her grandparents now but I cant wait to get my grubby big hands on her when I resign so she becomes the pleasant little big lady I know she can be. She really is quite a character and Im not saying this because I adore her. She is masungit, maldita, spunky, but really really sweet and charming. She doesnt understand the meaning of “NO” when you tell it to her but she demands that you understand “NO” when she says it. She says “Ayaw ko” 95% of the time. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

2. She loves shoes that arent hers. She loves them big, and those go click click click – read: high heels. My mom’s like a broken tape player everytime she sees Martha, “Manang mana sa iyo yan nung bata!” (Sige na nga Mommy!)

3. She is fiercely independent. She doesnt want you to hold her hand when she is walking. She doesnt want to be fed at the table. She wants to be the one to do everything, even getting rice and viand for herself. So every eating time, our table is always a disaster. Oh well, better independent than clingy. Yun na lang sinasabi ko. She now currently doesnt want me to scrub her when we take a bath. She tells me, “Me only, ayaw ko nga.” Can someone tell me she is not turning JUST two this May?

4. She currently is on treatment for Primary Complex. It is quite an ordeal for her to take medicines every morning. She also is on treatment for asthma. Good thing we have the medicare advantage :) . I hope when she is cleared for Primary Complex, the asthma will go away too. As of the moment, thankfully, we have been asthma free since December. She got sick last week though. Roseola.

5. She now can say her name! Hooray! LOL. I dont know if I have told this before but around a month ago, I started teaching her how to say her name. I gather she is turning two already and she refers to herself as “ako eh”, “baby eh”. So whenever I ask her, “What’s your name?”, she tells “Bi-bi” (baby). Multiple effin times. So yesterday she just pointed to a picture of her and said Martha (sounds like Ma-tha).

6. She loves animals. She first memorized all animal sounds before numbers and ABC.

7. She loves fish, Yakult, Chuckie and Nova :D

8. She changes shoes every 3-6 months. The main reason why I dont buy anything more than 300 pesos for shoes everytime. :D

Thanks for doing this Aggie. Kakatuwa si Martha ano? I have that same thing about grandparents spoiling the kids. hehehe. That’s why I spend I lot of time with Andre para he can take NO for an answer. Kahit maglupasay sha alam nya di uubra yung drama nya. bwahaha!

btw, i have posted something about asthma on my mommastuff blog > http://www.mommastuff.com/?p=114. You might be interested to read it.
