27.
Posted on Feb 16, 2008 under Daily Memorables |At 7:42AM, I turned 27. I dont want to repeat myself like last year when I said I feel old. I want to feel young - energetic, optimistic. I want to be feel revitalized.
Unadmittingly, I grew up a spoiled brat. I never had the best clothes nor toys, but I sure was the star and apple of the eye of everyone I love. I was my Mom’s pet, my Dad’s girl and everyone’s example. When I turned 18, it was the first time I didnt get something I wanted - a debut party. I felt bad for around a week before I grew out of it.
But my parents and relatives gave me a better one. They surprised me with a party at Tagaytay with my closest friends. It was the same house I stayed in when I got married in Tagaytay.
When I was saying my “speech”, I was crying a lot. And now I just remembered what I said.
(Yes, English ako nun)
“I feel so blessed. Growin up, even if our life was hard, I always got what I wanted. My parents always found ways to give it to me. I never demanded anything more than material but I always had the attention, the limelight, the spotlight.”
Im spoiled.
God has always given me everything I wanted. I cant even begin to fathom how much I have gotten everything I have wished and prayed for, and now, as I turn 27, I realize I have never even gotten to thank Him for half of it.
So this year I wont be wishing for anything more. I only wish that I thank Him in everything I do.
I may not have all the luxury I wished I had, or the time, or the attention, but I have more than enough love from everybody important, so thank you Ama.
I hope I get to fulfill Your Plans for me someday

Aggie, it sounds to me as if your parents also gave you a priceless gift that far too few children receive: you are gracious and, for being only 27, you are wise enough to recognize how your parents graced you with a good beginning. I have little doubt you’ll pass on the same traits to your children.
That, my friend, is a priceless gift and, by giving it, you’re already fulfilling his Plan for every mother.
