Things are not going well at work the past few months. Management has been revamping and most of my teammates have not been happy with our current supervisor. So with the new year comes their new plans of new jobs. In other words, they have been jobhunting. Since most of us are tenured at our company and have high positions, we are really prime targets of headhunters, so jobs can come easily. I dont know how we will survive as a family without communication these days. My parents live two hours aways from us, my sister in the US and my brother and sister are always out. We usually send text messages to each other all the time but with the discovery and subsequent learning of my Dad on how to chat, we were able to save up a lot of money. It’s so sweet to teach my Dad how to send a smiley or put an avatar for his profile! There is actually more! I have been telling my friends how I will certainly have my hands full once Martha grows up. Even now, she has been quite showing the strong stubborn pride already. As Edil said, our pride combined is higher than the highest mountain, LOL (Can you now tell why we had such a telesaga when we were just BF-GF?! LOL). Martha doesn’t cry when she knows she has done something wrong or if she knows Im making sermon LOL. She just looks at me with those eyes and quivers her lips. It is absolutely adorable, so kawawa, but mehn, so cute. Her dad is no proof when she does that, me, I try hard to resist. She doesnt even say ‘Sorry’. She just does that look and when you tell her, ‘OK na tyo ha, lab mo na si Mommy.’, she wouldnt budge - dapat ikaw ang mauna! OMG! But once you kiss her, she hugs you so tight with matching rubbing of head on your chest and snuggles for a good 5 minutes before going back to her kulit maldita self. LOL.
That girl. Edil told me this morning, “Tama na isang babae. We have royalty here already.”, when Martha woke him up at 5.30 in the morning to tell him that she wants to go downstairs. And have her Dad serve her - from watching Sesame Street with her, to rubbing her back (she loves that), being the one to get her dede, etc etc. (She would scream, stomp her foot and says, “No! Da-deee!” when her yaya would do it, hehehe). Buti na lang Daddy’s girl LOL.

Her face has changed.
She is now 20 months. WOW. And then she turns two.
WOW.

I think all mothers think their kids are the best or in the advanced stages, right? Well, I think my daughter is too LOL. Save for her speech which is still bulol, thanks to the chot-chot - I think she is perfectly great. Her pedia noticed she is quite tall for her age, and really is a smart lady. She cant help but tell me how pretty Martha is becoming already (She even asks if she can pinch her cheeks!).

Martha is a very sociable toddler. She loves to talk to babies and kiss them and generally try to play with them. Of course, you touch her toys and you’re a goner. She is full of spunk, generally charming and sweet but really hard-headed. She loves Sesame Street and Disney. No matter how much I push Barney, she wont take it. She just plays when Barney is on but dances when the final song plays — the “I love You, You love Me” part. She loves to sing. When she plays you will just hear her singing. Her appetite is strong, her motor skills good. She says ‘WIWI” everytime she does it, but doesnt have control yet. Since she is on meds for her Primary Complex, she is still OK with it.

She now says, “Po-po” for Opo and says the cutest Mo-mee to my ears For the longest time she wouldnt call me Mommy would you believe!! She says Daddee all the time. When I tell her, “Martha say Mommy”, she will give me her sly look and say, “Da-dee”. And she repeats it over and over again, nakakainis! She loves being tickled, saying ‘Pa!’ for ‘Isa pa!’ all the time. She says ‘Hi!’ to everyone who goes through our front door.

She loves praying too. I guess she learned it from my parents. Everyday upon waking up, once she sees the altar, she says ‘Hi Lolo!’ and then makes the sign of the cross. At the table when eating, she even makes the sign of the cross first - and she wants all of us to pray (meaning assume the prayer position - with hands together) or else you get a ‘O!’ with her pointing to her hand.

She loves taho, apple juice and tilapia/daing na bangus. She loves to play with her dolls. Rocking them to sleep - then throwing them on the floor when they are sleeping already LOL. She loves playing house and trying my shoes!!!!!! I once caught her applying lipstick using a pentel pen! LOL.

Im way behind educating her at home but I think Martha is holding up pretty good. Each child is unique and that’s what makes her special
