Oh my. This was the post that was supposed to be my post on the day Trillanes made a dramatic show at the Pen (only to surrender after 15 minutes. Kainis. He should have let himself be killed — magiging hero pa sya. Sorry for being tactless ha, pero nainis talaga ako dun.)
Anyway, onto the story.
We went to the nearest SM (where else?!
) on November 29th after I arrived from work. Since I was so worked up doing the Shutterfly album, I told myself I might as well get a picture of them for December. And to have Xmas cards din (I was not planning on doing this since nobody in my side of the world does that anymore, pero what the heck, I had free coupons so might as well use them.) The night before Edil and I tried (HARD) to get them into a frame together but Matthew didnt like to take pictures (I swear in a few years he will not do any pictures anymore) and Martha was being soo makulit. So I was resigned to have them in a studio.
I originally planned to get them into Great Image on a white background because I have plans of altering naman them as well. But they don’t give hi-res copies so Edil told me to try na lang DigiPrint. So we went.
So initially we inquired (it was my first time there), and their price was cheap. 30P for a 5R print, when you have your picture taken from their studio (no studio sit-in fee). So pwede na. My budget was only P300 kasi I was really just after for good light and a white background.
First try. The two of them seemed to be in coke overdose I swear. Matthew is naturally behaved but he was sooo all over the place that day. Of course, Martha being the shadow, she was all over the place too. And Martha did not want to smile. She would stop for a while then smile then dash off to play. Nakakaasar! So after 15 minutes, we decided to take a break. The saleslady was kind enough to tell us na bumalik na lang kami (Wala naman bayad daw).
So I took them to the nearest food stall to have merienda. Matthew was demanding Pizza Hut but we had to be firm and tell him he needed to control being a brat. LOL. So he and Edil had panwiches and mango shake. Martha has french fries and I had a Belgian waffle. So tummies are filled.
Second try. WOW. Martha was IN the mood. While I was settling some paperwork outside, Edil took them in the studio to make “practice”. Martha was a pro – her usual smiling self. And of course, si Mato veteran naman na sya so walang problema. I went in and the photographer was behind me. Ang ganda daw sabi ng photographer. Until Martha saw the photographer wielding the camera. Everything went downhill from there. She screamed, “AAAYYYYYAAAWWW!” and then made Dash Incredibles na naman with her running all over the place. Haaaaaay. You know what?
Edil ended up taking pictures of the kids using their camera, LOL. (Para lang kami nagrent ng studio). But then, we only had SIX decent shots in 90 minutes. I swear, pigil na pigil si Edil sa akin kasi ako pakuha pa ng pakuha e ayaw na talaga ng mga bata, hehehe. The one you saw was the FIRST picture. And it was the best na
Buti na lang din.
We got everything printed for only P150! Super mura no? And I just tried to ask for the hi-res copies and the saleslady agreed! Galing! Edil was talking to the manager how they print (kasi we saw they were using lang an Epson Printer!) so Edil told me he would just get me one so I can print my layouts (Wish ko lang eh no. Sana totohanin nya un, LOL).
So there. Not entirely too happy but nice naman sya for 150 diba?

your kids are so darn cute!
thanks for the comment you posted on my blog. I’m actually planning to visit my OB within the week coz of some problems that seem to have come up since my D&C. anyway, we’ll see
By the way, your old adviser Mrs. Nanawa teaches at my daughter’s school. She’s the coordinator for Grade 6 na. Ganun pa rin itsura niya…medyo bawas lang siguro make-up
Looking forward to seeing a picture of your fully decorated tree

Your kids are adorable! I know the trials and tribulations of Coke and Pizza Hut all too well, and I must say you handled them admirably.

hey Aggie, we bought Epson Printer Stylus C59 at MOA mura lang siya promise around 1800php ata ang nice ng printing niya sa photos! Basta we bought lang quality photo paper, go for gold na ung printing.
What’s nice pa super mura ng INK! There are 3 separate cartridges for the colors eh kaya kahit maubos ung isa it will function pa rin. Ung ink nakalimutan ko na magkano around 200php ata
Buy na!!!!!!!

Oboy… you’re really making me kaba to be a parent! But i suppose in the end, what counts is that fab photo
Can you give me exact package you got from Digiprint? They do really nice photo books (they are like those old hardboard storybooks–you know, the ones where all the characters are dolls photographed on a colored backdrop?) but so pricey. I was thinking of finally scrapping my wedding photos and having such a book made.
