Engagement Rings

I dream of having diamond stud earrings. I know this will be a wise investment as diamonds rarely decrease in value. Who doesn’t love diamonds? Almost all wedding rings have them, depending on style and carat. There are also diamond engagement rings that are sure to help make your fiancee say ‘Yes’ faster! :) If ever I get to have a change, I want to get customized jewelry from JamesAllen.com. It is secure and hacker safe web site which guarantees 100% real diamonds!

A Very Productive Day.

1. Did evaluations at work.
2. Got the Christmas pictures of the kids done – not 100% satisfied, but it will do.
3. Got Christmas cards done.
4. Got Shutterfly calendar done.
5. Got the 11×14 Shutterfly Collage done.

Now, I hope to scrap some more later.
Tomorrow, I will tackle the tree. *sigh* All the pictures of your trees are making me insecure hahaha!

RihannaYou want to know who captures my fancy these days? It is Rihanna! I so love all the singles she has been putting out lately. For complete listing of her shows, you can just go here for reference.

ViagogoYou can easily buy tickets for her shows at Viagogo. It is considered the leading ticket hub in the UK – with the guarantee all tickets sold are secure and authentic. They even send online tracking updates regarding your tickets. They do not only sell tickets for concerts. They also offer Formula 1 Tickets, so heads up racing fans! A Tag and An Award :)

Thanks Jacqui for this:

Starstruck Blogger Award

I wish I can write as long as Jacqui’s intro in her post (hehehe), but I feel the same way! Kudos to mommies who manage to work, be a mom and blog at the same time!

And I got a tag from Jesse:

I tag Jacq (para magupdate ka na!), Liv and Apols for this one :)

Here’s my birth month:

I was born in February :D

FEBRUARY: Abstract thoughts. Loves reality and abstract. Intelligent and clever. Changing personality. Attractive. Sexy (naks, baka feeling sexy lang, hehehe). Temperamental. Quiet, shy and humble. Honest and loyal. Determined to reach goals. Loves freedom. Rebellious when restricted. Loves aggressiveness. Too sensitive and easily hurt. Gets angry really easily but does not show it. Dislikes unnecessary things. Loves making friends but rarely shows it. Daring and stubborn. Ambitious. Realizes dreams and hopes. Sharp. Loves entertainment and leisure. Romantic on the inside not outside. Superstitious and ludicrous. Spendthrift. Tries to learn to show emotions.

Side kwento: I love horoscopes. I dont necessarily believe in them and turn to them for future seeings. Pero I love reading about them tapos true pa sinasabi nila. Galing no? :D Hehehe Thanks Jesse!

Geeky Speak: Web Stats Tracker.

Im addicted to web statistics. As a paid blogger (and someone who stalks people who stalk her), I want to know where all my hits are coming from.

You better have Google Analytics installed in your blogs – NOW. I know I have told most of you who are into paid blogging to get that code. But wait, there is more. Better actually. Try Get Clicky. You will see who viewed your site, how long, which entry she read, how many times she visited your blog! AMAZING! (So you know I’ll be watching ;) )

And then, go ahead and use Simple Tags. You can view the plugins I love here. I personally love the Simple Tags because it tags your entries and makes them more searchable in Technorati! :) My blog has been searched and indexed using “body wave” and “curls” and “wife stories” (Well, come to think of it, this blog is more Mommy Stories than Wife Stories, LOL). This post has more than a few hundred views already.

Optimize your bloggety bloggies :D

Haaay.

Earthquakes give me the jitters. Especially since I have a son who is in school, a husband at work and a child at home.
I keep worrying if anyone of them is safe or what.

Matthew and Money.

Question for mommies with gradeschoolers: Do you give your kids money?

Matthew talked to me last night. He was asking for 18pesos for school. So I asked him what for. He told me he wants to buy french fries from their school canteen (“Kasi ung classmates ko bumibili eh, ako wala akong money.”). So of course, my heart ached a little. I had complex issues growing up because we were less fortunate than the other school kids (less baon money, no new bags every year, etc) so I was thinking that Matthew might be feeling the same way (not that he thinks he is less fortunate, you know. Since we only have two kids, Matthew gets premium items every school year.)

Honestly though, I never really thought of giving him money! He has more than enough baon to get him by the whole day. Sometimes he even brings home leftover food. So parang di ko naisip un.

One time I gave him 20 pesos because he told me he wanted nga french fries. So I gave him. The following day, at dinner, I asked him if he was able to buy french fries. Sabi nya NO daw. So I told him, OK, that’s your money na. Ipon mo na yan. Then he told me, wala na daw ung money. Since he was still full, he told daw his classmates, “Sinong may gusto ng twenty pesos?” and then he gave it. LOL.

So I was thinking if it’s the right time to give him money so he can learn how to handle it. I remember nung Grade 1, wala din akong allowance nun eh. Siguro 5 pesos a week? Pero I distinctly remember wanting one nung nagschoolbus ako. Kasi almost all my servicemates buy stuff while waiting for the bus. Kaso Matthew is hatid-sundo. He even buys snacks from a carinderia (SnakZone daw) before going home so he can munch while on commute.

Matthew operated on pennies before. Pag Christmas, pag mas madaming paper money (kesehodang 20pesos lang yan), mas rich daw sya. And he often says bilmoko on the mall but once we say there is no money or next time na lang pag nagkaron ng money, he shuts up naman.

How do you introduce the concept of money and saving money to your kids?

A Tag from Jane

Yay! I got a tag from Jane. I rarely get tags anymore because I rarely answer them immediately as well, LOL. Her question was:

What gift/s are you planning to give to your kids this Christmas?
Well, I kaboodled everything. Operative word here is PLAN, diba? :) Hehehe. Well, I kaboodled the things the kids wanted when we went to ToysRUs last Sunday. Then, when we got home, I assigned the small stuff to my siblings, hehehe (no choice sila). (Sabi ko, “O Ninang Abbie, ikaw bahala dun sa baby doll stroller ni Martha ha, etc.) My siblings give gifts naman to my kids, usually after Christmas when they receive their own moolah. Agnes will have Martha started in Disney movies primarily because she wants Martha to be kikay like her (Matthew was a Disney-Barney kid dati, grabe. Uso pa VCDs nun, I swear nakumpleto namin sya. Too bad di na sya gumagana ngaun). They will probably get arts stuff and planet books for Matthew.

With me and Edil, we talked and we decided to get them bikes for Christmas. Not the ones that are expensive, but the ones that can be bought in Raon, Quiapo (If ever you guys go there). Before, we used to go to CCP as kids and we would like to start a tradition for our kids as well.

Ay eto na pala. Matthew and Martha’s Kaboodle.

The good thing with family (and a few select ninangs who Im really best friends with, hehehe) they ask what my kids need. So I tell. So whatever I kaboodled, unti unti din nabibili.

So there, Im officially done with toys na this Christmas. My kids need clothes na. LOL

**Disclaimer: The ones I kaboodled are the toys similar to the kids wanted. The You&Me toys (for the baby dolls and stroller) are cheaper here. The ones I have bought so far are the Nintendo DS Lite for Matthew and the Word Whammer for Martha.
