Christmas (Window) Shopping.

So yesterday, we (with the kids) went to Trinoma. Our primary goal was to let the kids see what they want (and so we will have an idea what to give din).

After lunch, me and Matthew went to the Christmas Factory Peachy was talking about. Matthew wanted Santa plates with matching spoons and forks and coffee mugs and candy jars (all Santa based), but I told him we needed to wait until we get the house fixed (we won’t even spend Christmas Eve in the house so why bother with the utensils. If we had our own house, Im sure to be buying those. They were awfully cheap, as low as 50 pesos). I bought one Christmas village at 300pesos, matching Xmas tree and a little Santa (100 pesos). I guess I can get one house a year for tradition.

After that, we went to Trinoma already. Browsed around shops. I compared prices of goods here and those in the US (from shoes to clothes) so I can gauge if it will be comparatively cheap. The verdict: it was more or less the same price — but they don’t have one in my size — waaah! :( So no choice talaga.

At Toys R Us, the kids went gaga over the toys. Matthew and Martha wanted bikes (well, Martha wanted the mini-car at 300pesos). Matthew primarily wanted arts and crafts sets and books (dinosaurs and planets). My son really is a geek, hehehe (So proud of him!). He checked on the DS Lite too and even asked me if it will arrive before Christmas. (Biggest splurge to date) We actually talked to him already – it will be his birthday, Christmas and awards recognition gift (since he is on the honor roll). I actually even joked no gifts until Grade 2, hahaha.

With Martha, oh my gulay. I love this stage where she knows what catches her fancy already. She wanted the stroller babies! And those babies that have mini bottles, her own crib, etc. As in she wouldn’t let go of the stroller already. She then saw Elmo and dumped the baby doll on the floor, put Elmo in the stroller and walked away while singing “La la la la la..” Hehehe. I saw the kitchen set I have been eyeing too, and it was on sale! Leap Frog toys (30% off) are on sale too so the Word Whammer set is going to be Martha’s!

We didn’t get to browse some clothes stores for the kids kasi Matthew and Martha were running all over the place. I love Trinoma. Matthew and Martha can walk hand in hand without bumping to anybody. Martha was such a shadow to Matthew. So kung si Mato nagtatago, magtatago din sya. Haaaay.

We bought the 4M Crumpler Home in Brown. We need to protect the camera na kasi.
Edil was, as usual, making arte telling me he didn’t want anything. He wanted me to get the Lacoste shoes, kaso di ko talaga maatim eh. Sabi ko gift na lang nya sa akin yun, hehehe :)

Thankfully, I only have six godchildren so they can get big stuff from me (well, slightly bigger budget).

We are now packing things up for bulk pakyaw for ukay ukay (we have a friend who operates an ukay ukay store). Whatever we earn from there I will give to my Mom for the Noche buena. (Tipid diba?) :D If there are any left (as of the moment, we now have three balikbayan boxes, clothes and shoes and bags ko pa lang yun – yes, Im letting go of seven years of clothes that might never fit me, waaaaaaaah! LOL), it will be added to our “Moving Homes” fund. Grabe, ang lapit na pala no!? Excited na ako :D

Agnes wants our colors to be blue & white this year. And she wants us to be in dresses. Kaya eh, pahirapan na naman ako. LOL.

Sabog entry na naman.
