Blessing No.1:
Last night, I was counting pennies because it seems that we might run out of cold cash by the weekend.
Then came an aunt from the US who had my blog earnings. My aunt sent it to her to save on transaction fees.
Blessing No.2:
I then made a list of all payables and expenses and was quite disappointed that I might not have enough budget to get the decors this week.
Then a family friend arrived with a box full of goodies. Apparently, his nephew works in a major hotel and they dont use Christmas decorations twice. So we now have first class decors for our house (Di ko lang alam paano ikabit ang glass balls, baka mabasag! Ang gaganda pa ha. Parang di nagamit.)
Blessing No.3:
I have been wanting to replace our foam mattress since it has been making my back hurt. Kaso, as usual, laging kulang sa budget.
The family friend also had something. He gave us a KING SIZED foam mattress which was a reject from the same hotel. LOL. Now our room space has shrunk considerably pero mehn, pwede na magtumbling tumbling sa kama, LOL.
Galing ni Lord no?

I am totally unsympathetic your financial woes. You always talk about living paycheck to paycheck yet you squander away your earnings on clothes, toys, scrapbooking kits, and other equally foolish purchases. While your children are still young, you should show by example fiscal prudence and discipline. If you keep this up, five, ten years down the road, you’d still be where you are – no house, no car, nor any tangible asset in your name.
And whatever happened to saving money and studying for the NCLEX so you can work at a job that you actually went to college for? Or was that just a pipe dream?
Get your priorities straight, Aggie. You have two kids depending on you and your husband to secure their future. And that future has nothing to do with having the coolest Halloween costumes and Christmas presents.

Hello Chrissy, while I respect what you have said, I think you are just seeing the icing on top of the cake here. Whatever I write here does not reflect my offline life 100%.
“You always talk about living paycheck to paycheck yet you squander away your earnings on clothes, toys, scrapbooking kits, and other equally foolish purchases.”
– I really do not want to answer this but just to set you straight, I do not shop for my kids’ clothes offline because whatever we make out of a living for our (me and my husband’s) paychecks, go straight to paying our bills. Whatever I earn from blogging, a small percentage of it goes to buying whatever I deem worthy of buying for my kids — yes, for their toys, clothes and even my scrapbooking kits — and I think they are not foolish, they make my kids happy, they make me happy (like scrapping is my creative release from stress), and though you might deem it impractical, I do not. It is my money anymore.
“If you keep this up, five, ten years down the road, you’d still be where you are – no house, no car, nor any tangible asset in your name.”
– I totally agree with you. I do not have plans of “keeping this up”, whatever that means for you. And again, I don’t discuss whatever things I do for our future entirely in my blog.
“And whatever happened to saving money and studying for the NCLEX so you can work at a job that you actually went to college for? Or was that just a pipe dream?”
. Yes, I have saved enough for my NCLEX, and yes, I have actually sent in an initial payment for it. Did I blog about it? Not really, primarily because, it will take 5-6 weeks before I even get an actual application in my hand, and another 5-6 months before I can even get an exam permit. And yes, it came from my money. I didnt want to blog about it because 1) I was nervous Im making a big deal out of it 2) That part of my life is really so vague right now and 3) Simply put, I dont want to blog about it. Period.
– I am really flattered to know you have been reading my blog well
“Get your priorities straight, Aggie. You have two kids depending on you and your husband to secure their future. And that future has nothing to do with having the coolest Halloween costumes and Christmas presents.”
– I totally agree with you on this one too. I have my priorities straight, and thank you making me realize that my blog doesnt reflect it. Though, I honestly feel that blogging about having the coolest costumes and presents are really nice and exciting.
Btw, the costumes were a present and the Christmas present will be coming from my own pocket.
Thanks again for making time to leave a comment. I have not been offended with your comment, but I think you have judged my character rather harshly with what you have write. However, I accept it. Maybe whatever I am writing reflects what your opinion of me is. But it really doesnt even cover 5% of whatever ME is.
Have a great day!

re the glass balls, pwedeng wag mo na lang sa tree ilagay kasi malamang-lamang, pagdidiskitahan ni martha yan.. kami last year, wala pa kaming malaking tree, ni-hang namin yung balls dun sa pasukan papuntang kwarto at kitchen, using nylon kya para silang nakalutang dun.. pwedi din sa ceiling..

good things happen to good people
as for the “kala mo kung sinong magaling,” haay, may mga ganyan talagang tao sa mundong ito. pagpasensiyahan na lang ang mga napaka-”special” people na ganyan.

nawindang ako sa comment nung isa Aggie. well that’s her opinion, deadma. you know yourself very well and para sa mas nakararami like me, i don’t really think she’s right… well yun naman ang opinion ko!
anyway, thanks for the help talaga. i really appreciate it, kaya you have so much blessings coming your way kasi you’re nice, contrary to a few who see you differently.

wow… i did miss this one, aggie. i haven’t been blog hopping lately kase.
anyway, not so long ago, i was also judged pero sa cbox ko lang nag leave ng message. oh well, ganyan talaga. we can’t please everybody. not that we mean to but sana lang nga they keep their unsolicited advices to themselves.
for me, whatever you do with your money, paki ba nila. hard earned money mo yon and you can spend it on anything. and yes, i can’t agree more that our blogs are just a teeny weeny part of us hence no one should assume we are this or that just because of what they read or what we choose to post or write about.
more blessings your way, girl!
