hi aggie! i guess you know where my vote goes (since you've seen the flickr photo that i have) - moleskines are a bit on the expensive side but i like it that they have so many versions to choose from (from size, to type) and it has that garter that keeps the notebook closed so the pages arent folded accidentally when tossed into your bag. I also like that the paper they use is acid free - and i am very OC when it comes to writing (since i'm left handed and ink blots are a big problem) so it also means i can store them and make pamana to my kids in the future - so they'll see how i drove myself nuts with my to do lists and with my day to day recaps down to expenses LOL! happy hunting! :)

How about a Franklin Covey planner? I use a medium-sized notebook that has calendars, lines and places to write notes. It's not their usual expensive packages that you find wrapped all together -- they have spiral notebook type planners now that are way less expensive.
