So Edil’s attempts to make Matthew get interested in basketball have failed. He simply could not forget his interest for karate or taekwondo! We were about to really sign him up, even ignoring the fact that it will be an additional monthly expense for us, but with recent changes and us being always out on weekends, we decided to forego it and promised Matthew that he will be signing up for summer class instead. Edil is a very good basketball player and with his son’s promising height (and with his own frustration about his!), he really wants him to get interested in basketball. Me, I personally would like him to be interested in any kind of sports and be good at one, because I have never been good in sports. I actually feel clumsy and awkward in that department. The only good thing I excel at is running track but I havent done that in years. Oh well, I told Edil, as a father, he should be the one encouraging his son to get involved with sports – whether it be to watch Tennessee football or learn the art of good Manny Pacquiao punch
. He should be the one leading the way!
