My weakness in housekeeping and home duties is cooking. I really do not know how to cook. Sure, I know how to fry and cook simple dishes – my family wouldn’t really starve to death. But I haven’t really cooked anything that earned me compliments from my family, except for spaghetti – which I learned from my Mom. It’s an old tradition where we cook the sauce with all purpose cream and Worcheister sauce. My kids love it. But I still need to learn how to cook Edil’s favorite dishes. While I was randomly surfing Myspace, I came across this page: http://www.myspace.com/westernculinary. It seems like a very laidback but full of concepts type of school – they even have feedback about Top Chef!

The “Good” Samaritan turned bad and did not return the phone. Edil is still bummed about the lost SIM card. However, since he worked at SMART before, he can have the same number again even if it is a prepaid SIM. (We have very nice phone number, 99-99
).
A good officemate offered to let him buy a N6600, which is better than nothing, and it was offered at such a steal so no worries.
Lesson of the day: Never invest on such expensive phones – they are very prone to stealing and accidental losing.
We are not without one maid for close to a month now. And with me and Edil both working full time, a grade schooler and a toddler, the house is a total mess. Clothes are washed weekly, folded hastily and ironed when we are just about to use it. We also did not require our maid to do anything except to feed and take care of Martha while we are away since Martha alone is a handful already. I really need to take time off work to declutter the house. I need to put away old clothes (in time for the slew of clothes the kids are sure to receive this Christmas, plus it gives me an idea what to get the kids) and have a tool storage for my paper crafts. I really need my own “space” in the house. A shelf will not do! I want a real workstation for me and me alone!
Yesterday, Edil lost his P900
. It slipped from his pocket when he went down from the jeepney. He called his number and whoever found it replied. He would return it daw. Edil really pleaded to have it returned, even offering payment, because his SIM card was important. We do SMART Money on it and it is connected to a number of prepaid reloaders (We earn a decent amount from it too). Plus, all his contacts at work are there – from the point of view of a person doing sales, losing that vital piece of information is really depressing.
So we hope. We hope that the person would not consider backing out on his word.
By 9PM, Edil’s number was no longer reachable.
And I hoped and prayed tablan ng pagka-Good Samaritan ung tao.
So I guess I need to buy my husband a new phone.(?)
