Archives for August, 2007

There has been recent developments with the family lately. Abbie has now been given the go signal to work abroad, provided that she will come back after five to six months if ever she wont get a work visa. It will help her gauge the lifestyle there and what we need for a smooth transition. Fortunately, technology has made communication easier. VoIP phone systems is one of the tools we can use without having to spend too much just so we can talk to each other. VoIP phone systems by Xpander are designed to be the most flexible and user friendly business phone systems out in the market. Their type: Nimbus VoIP reduces costs in setting up because you no longer need to buy and maintain a traditional PBX phone system.

Blog Updates.

I think I might need to do this weekly. I am still trying to find a way to be organized when it comes to blogging so my readers will know what I regularly blog about. It will also keep me sane when opps come flying in at ungodly hours and I dont have a decent interim entry.

As usual, there isnt more time enough in a day. *sigh* But I will get this done!

Home and Health: I digged up some pneumonia articles that parents can find useful. Martha is doing better, but is still being a crybaby. Please pray we dont get confined tomorrow. Actually, I know being confined might be the best treatment for her so we can easily get her better. BUT it is the knowledge that she will need an IV that is killing me.

Aggie Shoots. Aggie Scraps: I blogged! Yay! :) I blogged about Songbird Avenue’s August Kit. I strongly recommend you get it for your monthly charity giving. We can shop for sales but cannot find the moolah to shop for charity? PLUS, it is nice. Really. Trust me, I bought it ;) . I also blogged about the SSD challenges I’m leading. Im seriously backlogged into that area of layout sharing but I will get caught up. Promise!

Pink and Brown Diaries: I got a nice Manic Monday meme for you! I love doing these types of memes. It is pretty easy and yet you get to see and learn more about me :)

Blog Day 2007

Blog Day 2007 I would like to direct you a very nice event among the blogosphere again :) . Blog Day 2007! This will happen on August 21, 2007 and I hope many of us participate :) . This will be great chance for your blog to be discovered and a way for you to discover other blogs and make connections to the world. As a blogger for four years already, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many nice, genuine and friendly people through blogging. And I can truly say, they are “more real” that real life friends.

From their site:

BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog visitors.
With the goal in mind, on this day every blogger will post a recommendation of 5 new blogs. This way, all blog readers will find themselves leaping around and discovering new, previously unknown blogs.

So here is what you must do!
Think of five bloggers you want to introduce to the world to. These bloggers can be anybody in the world, and would be your recommendations.

BlogDay posting instructions:

1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending them as part of BlogDay 2007
3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a link to the recommended Blogs
4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link: http://technorati.com/tag/BlogDay2007 and a link to the BlogDay web site at http://www.blogday.org

Look out for my recommendations :)

Blog Day!

We have short tubes..

Eustachian tubes (in the ear), I mean.

Martha has otitis media, her first :( . She also has asthma and is now under 48-hr observation to see if medicines can keep her lungs checked or else we get admitted by Tuesday :( . Please pray that Martha gets well soon, and that we dont have to go to the hospital because that will be the end for her Mommy, I will surely get a tantrum of my own :( . LOL.

I will just stay at home with the kids with a trip later to see my godmother who is going to home to the US. I plan to scrap later tonight if Martha doesnt act up. I got some adorable pictures in a ponytail (Yep, her hair can be tied now!) and I think I need to document that :)

Safety

Safety is a real big concern for us at home – especially now that our youngest is transitioning into being a toddler. We have very strict instructions to have sharp object like box cutters and scissors to be kept away and medicines to be stored. Of course our cutters are actually the ones made by Martor USA. Their safety knives and safety cutters include spring loaded knives, box cutters, ergonomic knives, strapping cutters, deburring tools, and many more. It is usually used by offices that deal with jobs that open and cut boxes but my uncle gave us one for keeping – we always receive a box from them anyway!

Speaking of clothes?

Being obese is not helping with getting clothes that fit. Even if I was in my form before, I already had a hard time finding clothes. First, Im tall for the standards here, and Im big boned. I was size 8 before and now ballooned to a size 18! You can now understand why shopping has never been a delightful experience for me. Fortunately, there is online shopping. I can freely shop at online clothing store that has my size! I actually envy a friend who is the same size as me but can wear trendy clothes because there are sizes available in her country! Either I lose weight, or move there! :)

Crash Diets and Pills.

My officemate and I talked about our health over lunch yesterday. I was lamenting how hard it was to try losing weight now when as before, when I was younger, I’d just to crash diets and pop a few diet pills and I’d lose easily. Quickly and effortlessly. Apparently, that habit has damaged my metabolism, add to that my voracious appetite and I’m a goner :( . Now, I go on a healthy diet and I would be lucky to lose a pound a week! It is really important to start with a healthy lifestyle. I will try to exercise next week, maybe 15 minutes of walking – and see if that will help. I hope it helps.

So this was my first Friday night out in so long :) . I finally had the chance to meet some Bebots again – Glo, Abie and Wanda.

First stop was Cena where Wanda and Glo talked about lenses, to the point that I had to stop them and tell them we needed to order :) . And then we mulled over ordering fish and ended up ordering different kinds of meat dishes :) . And talked about wedding, photography, food, and cameras. Abie was a little late, but she made up with her energetic kwentos :) .

Off to Max Brenner to enjoy chocolate fondue (it was my first time there) – and now I want to buy my own fondue maker LOL. It was a night of catching up with friends as if you have been friends for a long time – and it was really nice.

And as scrappers, we suck, because we only took pictures when we were about to go home – and there was really bad lighting and no one was there to take photos of the four of us. :)
