Girl Speak: To Curl or not to Curl.

Curly Soft HairI have been talking to Wanda about where to get my hair curled, waved or permed. I really like how her curls turned out but she had it done in Hongkong so it was pretty obvious I cannot go there just to get my hair done :).

Why do I want to try curly hair? Simple because Im tamad :). Im really a wash-and-go type of hair person. I dont have time to blow dry my hair - which is thin, wavy and not straight straight. Im trying to grow it longer so when I do get it, Ill have the length I want.

And a little trivia for you - did you know I was born with naturally curly Goldilocks hair? Yes! (Ill post a pic soon!). When I was 2 years old, my Lola cut it really really short (like Estong’s hair here) and when it grew back, it was straight already! My Dad had a fit! LOL. He really wanted me to have curls. Im grateful actually to Wawa Maring for it. My hair on good days is actually nice and has body. But Im wanting to try a different look for years now. It was always layered cuts, bangs, layered cuts and bangs. And since I cant go shorter or else my round face will only become rounder, soft curls might be best. Edil gave me the go signal and told me to try a new look (Im guessing he is going to try getting his hair long again - with an outrageous color so he gave me permission). I plan to have it around November before I resign (para may pera pa ako :D), and so that my hair will grow longer pa.

I googled “soft curls - perm wave” and found this. The Hair Rebonding Wave sounds scary but the hair in the picture is so nice! I want the body wave here. And if my hair is just strong enough, I really want to color and curl like this perfect picture.

Any suggestions where to get it though?

    aawww, kaka-excite naman! ako din gusto ko curly hair, kaso super tamad magpa-haba so nagpa-short na lang. :D goodluck!! im sure it will turn out great. ;)

    why don’t you try “body” muna.. i had mine dati sa salon de manila.. actually, gusto ko kulot talaga, kaso di ata kami nagkaintindihan. pero ok sya para sa mga bagsak na buhok.. no need to blowdry na.. parang gusto ko nga din magpa-body e, i’m into ysabella naman at parang gusto ko yung curls sa hair ni juday hehe

    Ano ung body? Parang laging nakablow dry yung hair? Uy parang type ko un, LOL. Ung pinsan ko nagpabody wave sa Salon de Manila, ung parang curls sa Korean telenovelas? Ganun, ang nice nice, kahit first week pa lang, soft curls na agad.

    To curl! *LOL* You can try digital perming at David’s Salon or Tony and Jacky (buendia near pasong tamo is the nearest branch). Mas maganda ang curls with color para mas soft and bouncy ang dating. And you’re so right super wash and wear talaga siya. After a shower, I just dry my hair with towel and put on leave-on conditioner. that’s it, … i can’t remember when was the last time i combed my hair. haha… GO GO GO!! CURL NA! :)

    Wanda, kainis ka eh :P Wish ko nga manuod nun siguro sa Friday, nagkasakit kasi si Martha eh. Sana ganun kahaba hair ko no? :D Titingnan ko yang Tony and Jacky na yan, pag nakalbo sisishin kita ha? :P HAHAHA!

    haha… sige pag nakalbo ka magpapakalbo na rin ako… hahaha.. so far good feedback naman yun friends ko sa T&J… I dunno which branch is better though.. natry ko palang kasi dun sa Remedios St. sa may Malate. Yun kasi ang orig. Nakita ko yun rebond niya sa isang girl super ganda…. i bet maganda rin ang kulit… imagine mo nalang yun hair nung bidang girl sa fullhouse nung kulot pa sya… gayahin pati yun color.. ganda diba?? *LOL*

    i got my hair digitally permed at toni & guy at 6750 last year - super sulit! i just recently had it relaxed a month ago or so, but that was after a year na - so the curls slowly loosened, pero ok pa rin ang hitsura. :)
