Most of you have already read my struggles with weight loss. I have said time and time that I will it one micro-step at a time – so that there will be no setbacks. Right now, I have to be honest and say I feel Im still on step 1. My main struggle – cutting off Coke completely is like a yo-yo. I have drastically cut off to 1-2 cans of Coke a day (Coke Light), with days I dont drink at all, but I have to say I need an alternative besides drinking pure water – I hate drinking water (I can drink liters of it but still hate it). My Mom, ever since she hit 50, has been conscious of her weight. She is now into a no-rice diet, no peanuts, and if ever we go to dinners or parties, she makes sure to drink green tea before going to bed. She suggested that I drink green tea – not the commercial type you see, but the authentic green tea.
Ordinary tea, like those you normally see and drink, actually came from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant. Now, there are three kinds of tea: the green tea, the oolong tea and the black tea. The difference between the three is the stage of fermentation they went through. The leaves used to make green tea are steamed then baked allowing no fermentation to go through, thus the color green. The oolong and black tea have both undergone stages of fermentation, hence the black or brown colors.
The main advantage of drinking green tea is the amount of antioxidants it has. An antioxidant – as you probably have heard, is know to make you look younger, your skin more radiant or even make you lose weight. This is because the primary function of an antioxidant is to bind radicals found inside our body and take it out – those radicals are those that come from smoking, stress, bad foods. In short, all bad components. So it makes perfect sense that antioxidants really make you look young (and that it has been incorporated in most cosmetics).
No wonder Japanese women have great skin
. So I have my green tea – while I cannot guarantee I will like the taste, knowing it is good for me, I will drink it, even daily.
Do you drink green tea? What kind?

Five is the number for the day.
Five layouts scrapped.
Five blog drafts that need to be finished.
Five coaching sessions accomplished.
Five more evaluations until I can go and wrap reports.
Five days until payday.

As an analyst, a huge part of my job is to be able to effectively do feedback and coaching to my agents. It involves a lot of motivational speaking, an effort to connect with my agent so we can bring a favorable outcome for his performance. The 360 degree feedback has been a product used by many employers and HR employees for many years. Recently, together with Right Key Coaching, it has been enhanced to be a better product with the goal being targeted on coaches. As an analyst for my account, this product would certainly help me coach my agents effectively. An agent’s performance is really reflected on his annual appraisal, so it is no surprise employers invest a big deal on their supervisors, leaders and analysts or coaches, and train them. This enhanced product of the 360 degree feedback is now focused on personal and lifestyle coaches, so I am sure this will be a must have on every HR department.

“Matthew wants one, bilisan mo.”

Im going to be spending hump day at home, resting, spending some quality time with my kids. I honestly am just too overwhelmed right now – with my dad’s health, my work, my kids, my self. I guess I need time to break away from it all – but out of responsibility, cannot. It is actually a nice thing Edil and I have been consistent in hearing mass every week, it really helps.
Until then, I will still be posting! Here’s to more coherent and *happy* posts.

Happy Monday Morning to you all ::)
Yes, I finished the second season of PrisonBreak. Honestly, if I had not read the recaps before I watched it, I would’ve been glued to the edge of my seat, well bed, until it was finished. But I read the first 15 recap episodes, deliberately not reading the last few episodes for suspense, so I can sleep
I watched it Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
Now, I cant wait for Season 3.
So, Im done with Heroes and PrisonBreak – which do you recommend next?
I finally decided to take a leave from work on Thursday and Friday this week so I can really sleep. My PM shift is really starting to drain me. I dont go to sleep until 3-4AM and then I still need to wake up at 6AM. I sleep at 10AM and wake up at 1AM to get ready for work. The quality of time I spend with my kids are slowly not getting any better. Im just too tired to play now. I cant even focus at tasks already – I sit down in front of the computer to write drafts of blog entries, scrap, organize, submit my site to directories and optimize it, but none of it gets done. I just stare at the computer, browse galleries, surf. I have even lost my desire to chat.
Martha will go to Amadeo this Wednesday for her lungs to have a breath of fresh air. Her cough is still there, getting better, but I still nebulize her twice a day, more if the weather gets particularly humid. I strongly suspect she has allergies that trigger her cough and not really the asthma-type-of-problem, since she really just gets all wheezy when it’s around 5PM. Hopefully, the air in Amadeo will do her good.
Matthew is recently complaining about his left ear hurting. I need to get him to an EENT doctor as he has a case of allergic rhinitis too (the whole family’s side of men has sinusitis – short tubes to nose and ears, probably), and he is too young to have all this allergies. Im really looking forward to the move next year. My kids’ allergies are all due to pollution!
Anyway, Im still looking for a good rate for flu vaccine Martha. Do you know any pediatrician whose rate is reasonable (meaning 1,500 below)? Her pulmonologist is quoting 2,500 I heard and for me, that’s so unreasonable when Matthew got it for only 600!
No pictures today
I slept the whole morning!
Here’s to a productive weekend!
Nyak, nasa weekend mode pa utak ko, hahaha
Thanks to all who dropped by and left a comment. I have been trying to “feel” what posts my readers like in my blog (so they’d come back of course) and mommy stories are really popular amongst us!
Stage mothers talaga tyo no?
